Cousins and Matt jones...new hc, new oc. And new additional drafted qb and new drafted/free agent rb. New Drafted WR and free agent WR. And new drafted TE. Things move quickly
But in the case you present with Jay and McVay being replaced then we're moving on from a QB and RB with high level proven NFL production (albiet in a different scheme) for unknowns based on in your scenario a failed HC and OC.

Which would beg the question was it the chicken or the egg?

The NFL is not for long and I'm okay with change if there is improvement but not change for change sake.

Like it or not, the best course for the franchise is to keep our fingers crossed and hope the triumvirate of Jay-McVay-Cousins experiment works out.

Or else we're blowing it up.
Why do people want to replace Mcvay? He's thought to be the next big thing as an assistant coach, he does have good blood lines, his grandfather was the GM for the 49ers at their height. He could be our version McDaniel in NE. No problem with him.
We are still in the thick of the division race. We have been thee most injured team as far as starters go. Lets not forget our injuries from preseason alone - paul, gillete, st ace whose name escapes me. We are coming off two four win seasons compliments of the old regime. Why do people want to replace anyone. Before the year started SF - i think you were the only one expecting big things. Everyone on this board had us winning 4-7 games tops. Now everyone is disgusted? Wtf?

Right, but the coaches play a huge role in what we're seeing on the field?

He is the run game coordinator, play suggestor, guru according to all the reports.

The run game has sucked since the Rams game.

Are you talking about Callahan or McVay?

According to Cooley, the run game is sucking.....largely because of "lack of push" from the O-line. To many blockers going backward instead of forward.

And that's to be expected when you have 4 out 5 new OL starting.

I agree with this point. However, if Scot wants his own choice as HC, then it would be better for him to make the change early in the build process. So I think that if he decides to make that change he'll probably do it this off-season rather than waiting any longer.

What improvement have you seen Jay and mcvay related?

This offense better fucking score today. No more fucking excuses

I hesitate to say positives because the Skins probably will revert to their norm. But penalties is an area of major improvement. I also think I see JG and McVay moving away from conservative play calling and hope that trend continues today.

Prediction:
Skins: 42
Saints: 38

KC is a different QB at home than on the road. In his last three home starts 5 TDs 0 ints with a 110.9 passer rating. 39% of passes go for first downs and 8 plays longer than 20+ yards. Against a Saints defense that is as strong as British coffee I like our chances.

Would love to see DJax and Ross do fly routes with Crowder underneath. Bring back the Smurfs! In all seriousness, the Saints DBs are lumbering - speed today would be great.

First of all no where do I suggest firing a coach. Second I said the HC/playcaller plays a role and Callahan is neither. He has no power or authority over which plays are called he's merely a 'suggestor' as you put.
Are you talking about Callahan or McVay?
Who? ;) McVay.
You're the one talking about Callahan.
