I could envision Dallas having pretty much the exact same starting roster next season. Maybe add a linebacker and one or two pieces in the secondary. That's it. They just didn't get it done this year. The team doesn't lack talent.
They had a lot of injuries on D.

Jones is a restless man though. Who knows what could happen.
No need to defend your fanhood. Bucket was a bit out of line calling you three out even though you all wanted Shanny gone. Dude pulled it out. Did something that even Gibbs 2.0 didn't even do, and that's winning the division. If anything, it probably should show you that those guys know more about football than we do. ;)
For the record i never said Shanny should be gone. Not once. I expressed concern about the wins and losses several times. I also defended the Elway won those superbowls arguments many times. What both Shanahans have done this last seven weeks - -and Haslett(unreal) has been amazing. Not seen a team prepared and firing on all cylinders like this since 91! Difference is these guys are a bunch of rookies. Unreal.

WE should be extremely proud of our team! Our first division clinching in 13 years and our first playoff appearance in 5 years. Since Gibbs stepped down this franchise has seen some hard times. But now that we have stability and momentum, it makes me feel proud. I'm so happy the Washington Redskins were able to but the entire NFL on notice this season. Now, it's time to battle Seattle.

htownskinfan 12-31-2012 12:46 AM

Season is made for me
Knocking Dallas out of the playoffs and beating them twice in a season is icing on the cake

How many people bout shit their pants when the ref said Morris fumbled :)
I was amazed they didn't go under the hood for that play and draw out the drama
I'm so sick of the regular refs and the scab refs that I just started yelling every type of profanity at them that I could. Morris was in. Not sure what that idiot ref was looking at.

Tonight was the best game I've ever seen DeAngelo Hall play in his career. His 4 INT performance couldn't even touch this game to be honest. He pretty much shut Dez Bryant down, and played the position how it should be played. (without all the gambling on passes) This is what pisses me off about the guy. He has the talent to play like this every game but chooses the ESPN highlights over discipline play.

hooskins 12-31-2012 12:50 AM

Props to dhall. I dont really think he is that good but played lights out. Overall, he has been as bad in coverage this year. Kudos to dhall and haslett.
Rams r no joke anymore but idont see us losing at home next week
I understand that but the same Seahawks who barely beat the Rams also beat down the 49er's. We should've beat the Rams as well so my point is that the seahawks aren't fantastic as some are making them out to be.

3-5 on the road this year.

There is no team i would want to play less on the road than Seattle and no team id want to play more at home than Seattle. We get them at home. We owe them.

Should be quite the battle, two of the best rookie QB's and RB's facing each other.

Criticism for wanting Shanny gone at midseason is completely fair (even -apparently- for those who wanted to wait until the end of the season). Bring it on.

We can't have RGIII play like he did tonight. His injury is definitely affecting his ability. It shows.

And it's completely fair now to say sign him up for a 1 year extension to his current deal, oh and Kyle too.

You can look back upon the threads.. The man asked for 5 years.. Not 2.5 years to turn around this team. Once the offense caught hold of the scheme we have been a very capable team.

I would not be surprised if we were playing in the NFC Championship game.

He had a off night passing it happens and plus Morris ran for 200 yards he didn't have to do much. That is called have a team not just a player.

Gtothearry 12-31-2012 01:24 AM

4 of our 6 losses this year were to non playoff teams.

DHall (and I hate him) played great today. Now, in the past he would go out and have a great game then the next week play poorly; keep it up DHall, we need you!

Also great news is that we get Cedric Griffin back next week. (and Gomes more than likely)

Random note: anyone else worried that Rob Jackson may be playing himself for a big contract somewhere else next year?

Re: Cowboys at Redskins Post Game Thread

A huge shout out to the defense.
London Fletcher, DHall, Richard Crawford, Josh Wilson and Rob Jackson all made big plays today to seal the win and the NFC East Championship.
The last several weeks several people on this sight ^ got on my case and said my high opinion of Rob Jackson play was wrong foolish and wrong. How do you feel now?

The Goat 12-31-2012 01:59 AM

Re: Cowboys at Redskins Post Game Thread

This is the only game I can remember where the defense outplayed the offense. Can't say enough about how impressive the d was, both intensity and scheme. I had wondered what we could do if Haslett dialed up more blitzes out of the secondary especially, and holy shit did it throw Romo off tonight. DHall is playing for a contract/extension. Rob Jackson is doing the same. If I had to choose between them, I'd go with Jackson. Fletcher looked like himself again tonight.

Offensively, the oline and Morris did all the work.
