Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
The answer to the question "Does Garcon make us better when he is on the field?" a resounding Yes!
|
Yo Adrian.......we did it!
|
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Please tell me people just watched Mark Dirty Sanchez run right into his own guy, fumble, and have it ran back for a TD. That is one pathetic team! Jets should offer a 1st round pick to us for Kirk Cousins!
Question: Would you trade RGIII for a team's next 10 years worth full of 1st round picks and it was guaranteed it would be #1 overall every year. (this is vodka and jager talking). My answer is HAIL NO, keep your picks. RGIIII RGIII RGIIII! |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
just hope our playoff chances don't boil down to "points scored". (thanks, hall- wierd decision).
other than that, i am happier than a pig in s**t right now. gp Pac on sunday! |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Can we still fire Kyle? He is totally holding RGIII back and only has a job because of his daddy. Every other team in the league converts a first down on every play they run and we struggle to score 30 points. Unacceptable!
As long as the Redskins are somewhat successful and Kirk gets into some mopup/week 17 garbage games, we could easily get some high draft picks for him. Happens all the time. |
I thought that Hall not running it in showed restraint. A quality he has lacked in the past. For that reason I liked it a lot!

Hated rival. Stick it up their asses. A true Redskin would understand that. Other than than, no complaints. Nice win! |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Great win with family all around. Looking back, i'll always remember this game, the Eagles game we won to make the playoffs as Sean Taylor takes a fumble into the end zone, and Cowboys Sunday/Monday night with Santa "Cowboy Killer" Moss.
This is Shanahan's first signature win! |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
The Redskins showed explosiveness in the first half and resiliency in the 2nd half. What a great win for this franchise. We should be very proud of these players!

Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
Haha, the Redskins just beat the Cowboys, I'll allow it lol. Man, seriously, is there anything better in life than beating the Cowboys on Thanksgiving in their building? I submit that there is not.
Considering I have been a fan since 82 and none of us have ever seen it, we'll no. The MNF game in 05 was the greatest thing I have ever seen. This is close. Second quarter of the 87 Super Bowl was perfectly amazing. The second quarter today was very close to that. So happy for our guys and all of us. |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
I mean on a serious note: RGIII has to be at least on the fringes of the MVP discussion right now right? Is there a MORE valuable player?
|
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
The Redskins will build a better O line to protect RGIII and he will be a terror for the rest of the league. The Skins are going to go on a 10-15 year playoff run. Good time to be a Skins fan!
I thought that Hall not running it in showed restraint. A quality he has lacked in the past. For that reason I liked it a lot!
Restraint is not slapping Dez Bryant (even though i enjoyed it), or not shoving an official. Restraint is not un-scoring to make it a non- 14 point lead with 14 seconds left. I thought he was showboating at first and it was alittle to close to being a ball slapped out of hand situation. Miracle of the meadowlands. Tampa bay vs Giants situation? I know all slim chances but a 14 point lead with really no time left is zero chance. And yes 44 deezel - stick it up the cowboys asses if given the chance! |

Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
If it wasn't exactly the "right" play at least it was an attempt to make a brilliant strategic play. He tried to right and gave up some stats for what he thought was smart. Can't blame him on that. This is a pointless discussion. We won. Be happy.
|
Who isnt happy? You say it was rite i say it was wrong? Just because we won and im elated doesnt mean i cannot question the move he made.
Edit: giving up stats for the better of the team is falling down on an int instead of running and risking a fumble when u can give the ball to the offense to take a knee. In this circumstance I think scoring was the rite move for the team or for his stats. |

But I agree those 2 deep bombs to Moss to win that game were sweet. But I give the tiebreaker to this one because it was on Thanksgiving day, and we were 0-6 against them today before this game. |

You know, I had a huge assortment of painstakingly prepared foods today: ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, roles, mac and cheese, stuffing, cake, pie, pudding, cookies, you name it .... but I have to say the most delicious thing of all was those Dallas fans' tears.

Bsaid before but watching highlights and how INCANDESCENT RGIII is under pressure seriously, makes me proud to wear the B&G again!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Grant Paulsen just tweeted, if the Skins get shut out in their remaining games, they will have outscored last year's total by 7 points.

There's no way RG isn't in MVP discussion.

Good game. All those doubters talking about Niles, and Hall, and other aspects.. Looks like things are coming together in the past two weeks. We gave up a lot through the air, but the passed the ball 60+ times.

The Redskins without RGIII could possibly be the worst team in the NFL. He is no way any less than # 3 in the MVP race, but he won't win it because he is a rookie. He is the man! So glad the Colts drafted Luck, not that they lost, but RGIII is amazing. |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
People have been complaining about our lack of good WR's. Guess what? They all came to play today, I've liked our group and
This is what I have been hoping for. If these guys can build from this game and Play like that every week nobody will beat the skins. You've got to outscore the skins to beat them. |

He won't be due to our record. They aren't going to give a MVP award to a guy on a losing team. (generally) |
Re: Skins 38 Cowboys 31 post game thread
RGIII is just full of confident swag, just watched a post game interview clip on espn.com, and he just has that cockiness that the great ones have. Its 1 notch below too much and 1 step above not enough. Perfect amount, hail I'd follow him to battle. Very inspirational young man. Only 22, amazing. I was a jackass chasing girls in san diego beach area when I was 22.

IF we do, and get a upset or two in the playoffs, I think you most definitely could throw him into the MVP discussion. I'm not getting my hopes up on this though. He's still a bit behind Rodgers though on that list. (and Manning) |
