Oh I have Ryan Mathews, but that's for week 2 or 3.
Im liking that Ridley match up at tennesse. |

Going to be the 3rd-down back in Week 1, very limited carries.
Should i start MJD v. Cleveland or Kendall Hunter v. Green Bay week 1? It's a 20 team league so options are very limited as you could imagine.
Easy choice. Wright. Britt is out so he's their #1 this week and MJD isn't in football shape yet and is supposed to get just a few carries as the 3rd-down back. |

I would wait a lil longer in the week to see how the touches play out, I feel MJD will get more touches over Kendall Hunter.I think San Fran will be throwing the ball to keep up. That Minnesota vs Jax is such a bad football match, that some way MJD gets in there and makes a difference. |

I like Ridley v. the Titans, McGhee won't do much v. the Steelers and I see Deangelo taking a backseat to Stewart this season. Jacob Tamme or Martellus Bennett?

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Jacob Tamme or Martellus Bennett?
thats tough, Id lean Tamme. How reliable was Bennett n Dallas? I dont see Bennett becoming a better player and going against his old team, Dallas will be keying on him. |

True, its tough, but a TE against a good defense is always a favorable matchup. So I want to say Tamme, but he's also got Joel Dressen on his team to take away some potential catches and targets. But with Martellus he had Witten infront of him the whole time in Dallas, and its really just him in NY (maybe Pascoe; I know Ballards off the team and Beckums still recovering from his torn ACL). Thats why its still hard to choose who to start. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Jacob Tamme or Martellus Bennett?
I would actually go with Bennett. Tamme is going against a stiff D and is splitting targets. Bennett is the guy in NY and definitely has talent. He showed flashes in Dallas but was inconsistent. I could see him having a solid year under Eli's leadership, as he does use his tight ends and turns below average tight ends into serviceable ones. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
I'm in a 12 team 4 player keep league. I took Justin Blackmon in the 3rd round. I'm really high on this kid despite his off the field issues. Would you start him or Malcom Floyd week one? My other wr is Brandon Marshall who is going to abuse the Colts secondary!
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Who should i start? Eli who is possibly without Nicks and has Locklear starting at LT against Ware Or RG3 who has everyone heathy, probably gonna have to throw alot against a high scoring NO offense while their D is missing some key starters. I work at 4 so if Nicks is a game time decision i wont be able to change it up. Thanks.

no question Justin Blackmon. He is gonna have a good year for a rookie |
Jacob Tamme or Martellus Bennett?
I had Tamme a few years ago when Clark went down. It seemed that Peyton really looked his way in the red zone. I'd go with Tamme. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Jacob Tamme or Martellus Bennett?
Im alot lower on Tamme this year than most. Dreesen will probably be the better TE in Denver this year. If Nicks is out tonight I would start Bennett over his old team. Bennett's Hype for this game and a lack of recieving targets in NY without Nicks, will all help the big TE be a factor tonight on a team that always utilizes their tight ends. |

Kendall Wright is starting for the Titans.
Anyone think he's worth some points this year? |
Kendall Wright is starting for the Titans.
Anyone think he's worth some points this year?
yes get him if you can. As for people questioning if Hakeem Nicks will play the answer is yes he will be playing tonight. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Kendall Wright is starting for the Titans.
Anyone think he's worth some points this year?
yes, Ive heard all preseason and camp he looked great. Britt cant stay in the line up, I think Wright is a good sleeper. I dont see a monster break out, but I see 50-60 receptions and if in a keeper league, would have better value as a late round pick then hold on too for down the road. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
QB Tony Romo, Dal QB
RB LeSean McCoy, Phi RB RB Matt Forte, Chi RB WR Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR WR Hakeem Nicks, NYG WR FLEX Jamaal Charles, KC RB Cedric Benson, GB RB Philip Rivers, SD QB DeAngelo Williams, Car RB C.J. Spiller, Buf RB Lance Moore, NO WR Isaac Redman, Pit RB Nate Washington, Ten WR would you make any changes? |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
^nope. Cedric will not be able to run on San Fran run D. Nate Washington would be in consideration for the flex. I advoided Jamal Charles like the plague this year. Im not convinced his knee is right and Peyton Hillis got a ton of work and looked gud in camp/preseason. Nate Washington has a favorable match up and Britt is out. Washington got a ton of targets by Locker in all of his preseason games.

QB Eli "the bum"
WR Megatron RB Reggie Bush WR Jordy Nelson RB Kevin Smith W/R Eric Decker K Robbie Gould D SF bench: RB MJD RB Isiah Pead WR Torrey Smith WR Lance Moore QB RGIII QB Ryan Fitzpatrick RB Mikel Leshoure TE Ed Dickson Would you guys start differently? |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
^id have a hard time bench MJD. I would continue to monitor that situation up until game time. Id consider Torrey Smith over Decker, close call there.

I'm going to go with Smith and the STL soft D matchup and monitor MJD during game 1. Most likely move him into starting week 2. I did consider the Smith-Decker swap, but the guy I'm up against has Peyton Manning as his QB. I'd like to offset any Manning to Decker points my way. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Alright so about Kevin Ogletree, I want to pick him up because he is filling in for Laurent Robinsons spot. I have to bid on him. Our league has a $150 budget, how much would you bid on him? I have $149 left.

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Should i play pete manning against Pit or RG3 against NO in week 1?
Peyton Manning, because he looked very good when he played against San Fran in the 3rd preseason game when he played a full half against their starter. RG3's a rookie. You might be thinking in your head that he'll be like Cam Newton the first game he had against Arizona since Arizonas defense hadn't seen him on tape. Peyton has a good OL to help him out--better than the one he had in Indy-- and he has some young weapons and good TE's to help him out and draw guys away from blitzing and into coverage. RG3 you have to figure is going to throw a pick and/or fumble, so you got to play him with caution knowing he's an exciting rookie. Plus he's in a hard place for any QB to play. Go with Peyton. You can thank or hate me later. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Should i play pete manning against Pit or RG3 against NO in week 1?
In real life, you'd have to be more confident in Manning. He's proven. In fantasy, I'd start RGIII. You have to look at the defenses they're facing. Griffin's game might be a shootout for him. If the Skins aren't playing catch up, they might. be passing just to keep pace with the Saints. He should put up bigger numbers. I'd roll the dice on him. Although, the Steelers D is getting old and they're missing Ryan Clark in Denver again because of his health condition. You have an amazing QB situation. I'd trade Manning mid-season, after your bye...before he gets hurt. I'm starting Cam Newton over Brees on one of my teams. TB's defense is trash and I think he'll light them up more than Brees can against the Skins. In real life, I'd take Brees though. |

Gore man. Why is everyone so down on Gore this year? Dude is awesome.
Now we have people seriously asking about subbing Jonathan DWYER in Frank Gores place. He has not dropped off that much, jeezus. |
Dwyer is gonna tear it up this year. He is the man!!! Gore is so last week. ;)

Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Desean Jackson or Steve Smith?
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
smith of course. Eagles have a couple competent receivers and a back that catches alot of balls. The Panthers options are smith and lafell.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Argh, benched Alfred Morris on the one team I have him on, he scored 21.60 points Hillis scored 2 points...who I started over him.
The part of fantasy I hate. My Newton over Brees backfired too. Cam laid an egg against a horrible TB defense. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
I should be 5-0 after tonight. Loving that Steven Ridley play at my flex position instead of Antonio Brown in my pay league.
Good call going with Steve Smith over DeSean Jax. Julio Jones is gonna be the number 1 receiver this year. I ranked him 3 or 4, shoulda had him #1 receiver on my draft charts. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Can't complain about my 2 QB's this week, Peyton in one, and RG3 in the other league. Just need Janikowski to get me two points tonight.
|
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Should i trade Carson Palmer for Mark Ingram? My two starting running backs are MJD & Helu with Kendall Hunter as a back up. I already have Mike Vick at QB. Would you accept that trade if you were offered it or should i be asking for more in exchange? For what it's worth this is a 20 team league so options are limited.
Edit: The guy I would be trading with has Jake Locker as his starter so he needs a QB. His other RB's are AP, Jamal Charles, and Alfred Morris. |
Re: Fantasy Football 2012 Thread
Ok so I have Greg Jennings but he's questionable and may not play against the Bears. I have Randall Cobb, Kendall Wright whos going against the Chargers who have no CBs right now, I'm definitely starting Brandon Marshall, and I have Doug Martin going against a fiesty Giants defense.
So I have a flex open and 1 WR spot. Who do I start? |
