After all, the Houston offense is so complicated that it takes several years "in the system" just to get the terminology down so the QB MIGHT be able to run a 2-minute offense there. Has Yates really done anything all that special, other than not give games away?

The Texans have a strong running game and defense. Anytime you have those two things a rookie QB will have a chance.

The thing is you dont need a QB to do a whole lot more. Had Rex been better at not giving away games the season might have turned out differently.

Because of our talent level, Rex was called upon to do more than he was capable of.....and far more than Yates was called upon to do.

I dont see it that way. They werent asking Rex to be Peyton Manning, all they wanted him to do was complete some passes (which he did) and not give away the football (he didnt do). That's all it looks like Yates had to do and he did it.

I think he makes his throws look safer because he doesnt do stupid things with the ball. Rex does stupid things with the ball so everything he does looks like an adventure.

Shannon Sharpe just made a great point on the CBS NFL show. He's got a hall of fame TE, Roddy White, Michael Turner, and Julio Jones and he (matt ryan) still couldn't even get a TD or even a FG??

Heard TG Is retiring that sucks he was fun to watch.. Yeah Ryan is beginning to be in that Romo discussion, GREAT in the reg season but cant win any playoff games.

He's not retiring, he signed a 1 year 7 million extension, so he'll be back next year.

also great point about Matty Ice, although, I think his defense is a big part of the reason why they suck.

Funny though cause Andrew Luck and Matt Ryan are mentioned a lot in the same sentence with some scouts and analysts in terms of more recent comparisons.

The Falcons let their o-line talent walk this past offseason. You can have all that offensive firepower, but if your line cant protect or run block ur screwed.
