I'm not talking about getting him with the 6th pick, but in the lower rounds.

That would be IDEAL! I just don't see it happening. I think Bradford stays put, they take that 2nd pick and select Blackmon.

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
Yes I would do that, and yes, please explain your thoughts as to why it could happen.
I think the key is getting to the no. 2 pick first, then offering the Colts a sweet deal to swap the two picks.

So you offer the 6th overall pick and next year's first to move up from 6th to 2nd. That's the move that gives you the key to the draft. You could select RG3 with that pick, but depending on who the Colts hire, you can pay them for the "right to choose", something I am estimating which would cost a second round pick and a delayed second.

I don't think anyone outside of the team that's picking second is going to be able to get the top pick away from the Colts, but if they are even considering taking Griffin first overall, that means they can be bought. But only by the team picking right below them.

I think the total deal would cost the Redskins two firsts and two seconds. But it's also the only way you get the Colts to trade the first pick, by giving them the second pick.

I thought it was a legit possibility only if the Rams had the first pick, but was told this afternoon it's still quite possible. Will provide more info later

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

I'm not very high on Russell Wilson. I didn't think he was much of a prospect at NC State.

Those plays he makes with his arm and legs outside the pocket will certainly translate well to the pro game. And he sells play action pretty well. But Wilson plays with no concept of the pocket or timing in an offensive system. He essentially is just winging it out there. And the tendency to break the pocket at the first sign of pressure, or even just because the play is just taking too long is not what you want in a pro QB.

There are scrambling QBs who are much more able from the pocket than Russell Wilson is. His arm is NFL caliber and he's a top level athlete, but there is zero play to play consistency in this game. If anything, I'm surprised by what he has achieved this year at Wisconsin. He does remarkable things to throw his team back into games. But it would be almost impossible to construct an offense with him as your quarterback.

wow I think outside of getting Luck, Bradford would be my second choice of legit QB options for us.

GTripp I like that plan, but for that to work, Colts would need to be convinced RG3 would not be that far from Luck skill-wise. Im convinced now with the Polins now removed, cutting ties with Manning is much easier and QB is gonna be the choice for the Colts.

I'm confused here. If Fisher goes to the Rams and selects RGIII, how exactly would he be taking over for Peyton?

Also, can you confirm this. One of the regular insiders are saying the Skins have RGIII rated above Luck and have for a few weeks now.

I've watched many of his games while at NC State and they've played ECU quite several of the years he was there. He's not a NFL type of QB. The kid is a gamer and a very good college QB, but not the prototypical QB you want in the NFL.

Here's the blog that predicts the Bengals will trade their 2 first round picks to the Panthers to move up, so they can select Trent Richardson.

2012 NFL Mock Draft 4 Rounds | Rant Sports

This blogger projects Cornerback, Janoris Jenkins, at 19 and South Carolina WR, Alshon Jeffery, at 24.

Those wouldn't be bad additions to the Skins. Some mock drafts have Richardson going before the Panthers pick, so it might make sense for the Skins to trade down IF they can't get RGIII and get someone like Flynn.
No way. The Panthers just signed DeAngelo Williams to a huge contract at the beginning of this past year. If you looked at the number of times they actually rushed him, it boggled your mind as to why they even signed him. Hell, Cam ran more times during the games than their high priced RB did.
I think you missed it. He meant the Bengals giving up picks to move up to the Panthers spot to draft Richardson, not the Panthers drafting Richardson....

Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

With the 6th pick we can still possibly get Griffith III. If not you have Keenum, Moore, Foles, etc to take a good look at during the combine. I can't believe so many are so stuck on Luck or Griffith with the QB class so deep this year. I would take Griffith or even Weedlan over Luck. I think Luck is an excellent QB, but this guy could be another Leinart in the making. I was wrong about Cam, so who knows, but beating on Pac 10 scrubs and losing to the good teams of the Pac 10 doesn't really impress me all that much.

Can someone mock up a picture of Sam Bradford in a skins uni? I'm salivating at the idea of trading for him. It would be a good value for both teams, too

Just a question, is there anything wrong with Oregon's QB Darron Thomas? What little I'm seeing they have put up 45 points, they seem to run a fast offense, he's tall and has nice weight. Just wondering if he could be servicable as a later round QB if the top two are not available.

I just looked at whomever made that 4 round mock draft with us taking Kuechly; I would be F'n furious if got him in the first round. He's another Tim McGargile of Northwestern. We need a QB, OL, CB, S, before we get an ILB like Kuechly whos slow and gets credited for a tackle even if he just puts his hand on a guy if there of his teammates are wrapping him up and bringing him to the ground.
What I think will happen: at #6 the Skins choose Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M
Why do so many people keep saying this? It is ridiculous. Tannehill is not worth a top 10 pick. Not even a first round pick. But that is not to say he won't be drafted in the first round, he just shouldn't be.

He is more of a project than RG3 and less accurate and a lower ceiling.

If, IF, we target him I am sure Shanny will have enough sense to trade down and get a few more picks.

Whatever the person who wrote that Mock draft is smoking, I want some, b/c they are F'd up.

No way the Skins use their 1st and 2nd picks on RG and MLB.

Chester is good at right guard and unless Kory and Fletcher both walk it won't be much of a need for us.
