His stats for today. Kickoff Returns D. Thomas 1 for 21 |
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
Like I stated before, having D. Thomas on the team shows how far the Giants are falling

Haha he will have to continue being insecure.

Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
There are no more deadskins. Shanahan has finally cut all the dead weight from the "deadskins" team that Devon Thomas was a part off.

sniff sniff* you smell that? Smells like Devin Thomas is on that Bullshit again!
The best chance he had at a good career ended when we lost to the saints that year they won the super bowl |

:laughing- Devin Thomas gets more chances than a smokin hot chick at a sausage party. |
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
I had high hopes for Devin, if only because every other pick that year sucked. Now I'm glad that for once the other team is picking up our scraps. Justice would be served if someone else picked up Kelly..
Conversely, I'm very impressed with our draft so far. We'll see how they do all year. 1) Kerrigan - interception/TD - good so far 2) Jenkins - probable starter, injured 7) Neild - 2 sacks! Hank / Helu / Paul / Gomes still waiting for eval / game time but all look good so far. |
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
I liked Thomas too when we had him, actually thought he was going to be quite solid..turns out he didn't give a sh*t about practicing or learning the game so F him .. have fun being cut soon .. you are worthless & will be bankrupt in less than 8 years ... HTTR
P.S. I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HANKTIME85 CAN DO IN A FEW WEEKS |

Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
I spotted him during the game on a kickoff return. He got blown up, short of the 20 yard line. He's #15 now.

Fred Davis sure made a case in week one that he should not be on that "sucked" list. He was one of our 3 2nd rounders that year. Now I dont think he will come close to doing that every week but he has contributed well the last 2 years. |

Actually after rewatching the game yesterday. I think he may have a good shot at getting a lot of action this year. We ran alot of 2TE sets and some plays FD was in there and CC was not. He made some awesome catches and saved Rex a few times by catching overthrown balls. FD, I believe has arrived. BTW if we can use 2 TEs like New E does both of our guys will be productive. |
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
After seeing the Giants play I see why they kept DT. Its nice to see our rejects can actual be an improvement for the other team. Ops did he even play? Did any of the giants WR's play in the 2nd half?

Kickoff Returns D. Thomas 1 for 21
And it was the best 21 yards gotten on a kick return ever! He showed us. |
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
You know, I still can't figure out why DT said what he said. Was he just trying to be funny? I don't know. Because I've heard him say many times over the past year (both on and off record) that he's grateful to Shanahan for giving him the reality check he needed that pure talent wasn't going to get you far in the NFL if you don't put the work in as well.

Yeah. But did you see him in that game against New Orleans in 2009? He was soooo awesome! |

I've said it before, but one career highlight does not make a high round draft pick choice worth. I will admit at the time though I thought DT was actually breaking out, and was going to finally prove he was worth a 2nd rounder. Instead, all we got was news of his disappointing work ethic holding him back. |

I think that's a kind of joke that falls flat when someone has paid you a fortune to not produce. In football, you don't shoot off your mouth. PERIOD. If Mr. Thomas finds himself unemployed, will the redskins call, now? Even if we need help? You just don't badmouth a former employer.....it's too small of a world for it to not come back and bite you. :nono: |
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
Let Thomas keep talking. It's just more bulletin board material for the 'skins.
|
Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
I have a feeling the Redskins aren't posting Devin Thomas comments inside the locker room.

Re: ESPN: Devin Thomas not secure until he's playing the 'Deadskins"
Well im not sure if Devin felt secure after he played and lost to us in week one, but if he did his security may have been short lived:
Giants take kick-return duties away from Devin Thomas | ProFootballTalk Also i wanted to ask this in the Fat Albert thread but it got closed; When a player is released and must clear waivers is he allowed speak to potential suiters during that time, or is that tampering of some sorts? |
