Someone posted: HOW WOULD YOU TRY TO FIX THINGS??

They need to do something drastic this week. Shaking up the roster by either cutting or trading someone and firing someone the coaching. This will send the message loud and clear. It has to be done this week.

Some people fail to realize this team does have some personnel issues. Today we just lost a game so naturally it's cut and fire, cut and fire and the beat goes on.

I like Bugel but I don't think he's the answer. He failed in Arizona and to be honest I think his blocking scheme is not working. I see other teams O-lines doing well and our having difficulty. I think his old ways are behind him. He teach's technique well but the scheme has been figured out or it's antiquated.

Zorn needs to go, a change needs to happen. Get Buges ro be the HC in the interim and see what we can do the rest of the season.

What a waste btw...

Can't promote Grey if you want to retain him next year. I agree if Zorn is fired Blache must go to. If you promote Grey to anything other than DC he won't return with the new staff next year.

2.we need a new DC, defense this week was horrible and has looked bad in general this
season

And on that fourth and one at the goal line everyone knew we were running it up the middle or running left. How can you be a good running team when everyone knows where you run the football? I mean, did we even run right once that whole game? I know we only ran the ball 10 times, but still.

To be totally honest the best think to do is:

Fire Vinny
Fire Coaching staff
Rebuilt on offensive personnel (QB, RB, WR & OL)
Rebuilt on defensive personnel (DL CB)
Alright, there are a couple of options if you have a smart person running this franchise(not HC but overall franchise). Firing Zorn is not an option at this point in the season. But what I would do first of all if I was Snyder is call Zorn into my office. I would sit down with him and say look, you aren't getting it done. Now I've got 3 options here for you. 1. You Resign. 2. I fire you or 3. You give up the play calling duties so you can focus on the tangibles. If you want to make some of the calls, thats your perogative as the HC, but I want someone else calling the plays. This team is talented and you are not exploiting the talent with your play calling.
~~~~~~
I hope they turn the play calling over to someone else, it needs to happen.
Frank Hanrahan is in Detroit in the locker room. He said it is not as bad as he expected. He said, nobody he saw was really...pissed over the loss. How can that be? We just lost to the 0-19 Detroit. There should be several Redskin players hanging from the ceiling.
We are missing something.....no HEART
BTW GM, I already answered the original question......
Who do we have that is a top pass rusher? No one. Blitzing wasn't the way to go cause our corners were having trouble anyway. Coaching on the defense wasn't the problem today. It was the players. And even though the defense struggled today they kept us in the game the 2nd half. It's the offense where I place the blame. Scoring 9 and 14 points against two of the worst teams in the NFL is unacceptable.
this is fucking bullshit and Matty if you wanna email me about my profanity go ahead. How in the hell can you stay clean after a perfomance like that!?!? Where are we going with Jim Zorn, and Greg? Redskins have the Talent to win the big one they do the fans, and the players deserve to get a coach no a staff that can lead them there.
There is not much you can do at this point. This roster is not very tweakable. We are who some of us feared we are...
Blache needs to move Landry to SS. We are not getting the most out of him at FS. He is regressing in fact. Play Moore at FS.
Re: Now What??
We didn't run right because we don't have blockers on the right side of the O-Line.
The accepted penalty in the third quarter was to push the Lions out of field goal range.
Every one of us said to go for it on 4th and one at the start of the game...
It's probably a good time to remember that it is just a game, so let's stop acting like it's the end of the world. If it seems that way to you, get a life. Seriously.
And it's probably also a good time to remember that Gibbs went 0 and 5 in his first five games as a head coach. So how did keeping him work out?
But it was the thinner of the two units to begin with, and it's the one that took the first major injury.
And the offense did have trouble moving the football today. Campbell did not play very well. There was no rhythm to his work. Portis was a non factor in this one.
No matter who is coaching the offense, it will have it's moments when Campbell plays well and it's going to struggle mightily when he doesn't. You just can't excuse a poorly coached defense as not having the players. You might be right, but since Blache has been our DL coach and later our coordinator, we're 0-4 against rookie QBs. How can we defend that?
I personally think I would be looking at ditching Vinnie, and go from there. Start or consider a sweep of some kind from the top. Keep the good pieces and look at losing the not so good.
For the money and time Danny has in this team.....the results ARE NOT THERE..
Honestly, I don't want to hear anything Gibbs would have to say in this matter. I'll just leave it at that.
Let's see, Andre Carter, Orakpo, Jarmon, Haynesworth, Griffin, landry, Hall, Fletcher, McIntosh, all highly paid players except Jarmon. I would expect that our DC would figure out a way to use all this talent. Another DC would figure out a way to get pressure, I thought that's what everyone said it would happen after signing AH?
But he finished the season 8-3. In year two he only lost one game. So after he started 0-5 he got better. Jim Zorn went 6-2 and then turned around and went 3-10 in his next 13. Kinda of a big difference isn't it?
Re: Now What??
I think Zorn limps on to the bye. Then we go with an interim from the current staff--but it's hard because you can't just institute a new system. This season will play out with Zorn's scheme whoever is calling the plays. We're pretty locked in, I think.
To everyone who wants to move Gray up, isn't he the secondary coach, the secondary which is getting beat like a drum?
My guess is we limp out the year, either with Zorn or an interim, and then hire a new staff, IF WE CAN!!! Remember: no really good prospect wants to come here, given the FO culture. Why ruin your future?
Serious question: do you re-sign JC? Drafting a QB is a crap shoot. NOt sure what vets will be available. I think JC has looked ok, given we have NO run game. At all. WTF?
What a mess. Well, we have another winnable game (on paper) next week. We'll keep muddling along I guess...
