I predict that it will be next season. Also, we have a better chance to keep all three of them (Clements OR Smoot included) heathy if Rogers and Smoot/Clements start and Springs doesn't play every down.

Many times corners can extend there careers by moving to safety. IMO it doesn't seem like a bad move at all.

I think I was the first to bring up the topic of converting him here on this board so I suppose I should defend my cause. Basically two things-first I used the precedent of Rod Woodson as proof that it could work. Second, Springs is a great cornerback indeed but more importantly he's a great football field. I think just having him on the field is a bonus. And he could be like the equivalent of an NBA swingman, swinging easily from CB to S and back if need be.
