I just want him not to have any plays where he fails to even touch the person he is supposed to block.

I hope he does....he's probably better at cut blocking.

Blocking is first and foremost about maintaining balance with your footwork and staying in position to maintain leverage. He's definitely athletic enough to do it, I think Matty's right it's a matter of coaching.

Niles worked on it, converting from WR to TE and has it down decently. Reed can too.
