I basically buy anything that's on sale that is above the Jose Cuervo level. |
Re: Drink Recommendations
I stopped in the ABC store to pick up some Rye whiskey to make some Manhattans…went with Knob Creek Rye….but that not point. Up at the very front they had several bottles of Buffalo Trace and 2 bottle of Eagles Rare…winner winner chicken dinner. Got me a bottle of Eagle Rare. I haven’t seen either like in 4-5 years

Re: Drink Recommendations
Got my hands on a bottle of Lagavulin 11 Year Nick Offerman Edition, holy smokes this shit is so smoky and smooth. Seriously tasty stuff

Man I remember when Buffalo Trace was everywhere, and cheap too. Used to be able to pick it up for like $30. Now I see places trying to sell it for $60. It's good but plenty of better options at $60. |

It’s crazy what’s happen to that stuff and anything from that distillery I went up to the liquor store today…jeez, I can tell what everyone spent there Christmas money on, booze. They didn’t have shit up there..me and another rando grabbed the last 2 holiday pack of small batch Elijah Craig. Empty shelves for days. |

I always have a bottle here and at the father in laws for when i stop to see him. My margarita recipe is super simple too… Ingredients… 1 bottle 1800 My mouth First open the 1800. Second pour it in a double shot glass. Third pour it in my mouth. Repeat until satisfied. |
Re: Drink Recommendations
Pick up bottles of Elijah Craig Small Batch and Jefferson’s Reserve: Very Old and Very Small Batch bourbons for the weekend. These are incredibly smooth. JR very old and small is a banger

I have a terrible time with whiskey. Good or bad. I turn into blackout bobby almost immediately. I very much appreciate the taste of a good smoky whiskey but once you start talking about catching a buzz and beyond i am out. Learned the hard way many times over. |

Today is dry day #27. I took one weekend off this month for a friend's birthday, but other than that it's gone very well. I'm going to stay strong up until 2/4. |

Wow. Impressive. I couldn’t do it. Though I never tried. Why 2/4??? Just a random date you selected or is their some significance? Edit… thinking because its the first available Friday.. |

Edit… thinking because its the first available Friday..[/QUOTE] It’s not too hard honestly, it just makes the weekend kind of boring lol, but the trade off of no hangovers has been nice You cracked the 2/4 code it’s just the first Friday, I don’t drink during the week typically Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
