It will be a growing experience for him, hopefully positive. She also tells me that there are a non-trivial number of Cowboys fans that are so frustrated with Romo and Garrett that they're actually feeling a little conflicted about this game. Let's make this like Rocky IV, where by the end the Russians were cheering for Rocky Balboa. Let's get Dallas fans cheering "RGIII". OK -- in reality, I would settle for a win. |

When that happened in New Orleans well we all know.... Time to break the Thanksgiving day losing streak to the Cowboys and win the damn game. |
Re: It's Dallas Week!
Not to get too far ahead of things here, but beating Dallas makes for a wonderful set-up for the second NYG game at home, where the NFC East could be on the line.
Merriweather looked very solid back there yesterday, by the way. I am worried about his health, but he had a few moster hits and a nice pick. Also, give credit where it is due -- Wilson had a pretty nice game too, as did DHall. It was a solid overall effort by our D, although I would still like to see more of a pass rush. But giving up only 6 points to a division rival is nothing to sneeze at, and the whole group gets credit. |

I think the Redskins can do a great job on both sides of the ball in this game. Dallas is still a good team but the Redskins are better. I say we are capable of defeating them by 3 TDs. |

Wow. I hope that's right. There is no question that the Redskins are capable of playing really well at times (Eagles, Saints), but they're also capable of the occasional stinker (Steelers, Panthers), and often times, one gets both in a single game (Bengals and Giants games this year). If they can put together a complete game -- a good 60 minutes on both sides of the ball and special teams, they can certainly beat Dallas, and by a considerable margin. It would help to cut down on the penalties too. I think ball control -- a healthy dose of Morris and some TE passes up the gut (Paulsen is showing some real grit -- great reach for the TD yesterday) will be key. |
Re: It's Dallas Week!
I hope we can pull it out but this game is gonna be a flat out battle and will go dowwn to the last possession. I honestly think that both teams will bring their "A" games on both sides of the ball, not really expecting a stinker from either team. This, IMO, is going to be one of those back and forth classics that folks will talk about for a long time. With that said........I expect that we willl see the EXACT, mark my words, EXACT, same outcome as the Giants game a few weeks back. RG3 leads a stellar TD drive in thew 4th quarter which will leave about 1:25-1:20 for the Cowsissies...Romo hooks up with Miles Austin on a blown coverage on the final drive for the win. HOWEVER, I do believe the Skins will show up and a play a solid all-around game until, ultimately our biggest flaw will show. It is games like these that flaws get exposed and determine outcomes.
Skins: 28 Cowsissies: 31 |
Re: It's Dallas Week!
I see Miles Austin have a big game much like Danny Amendola did against us. I dont think we have a corner that can hang with him..... I hope like hell I am wrong.

Redskins 4
Cowboys 3 Kerrigan gets two safeties and outscores the Cowboys kicker. |
Re: It's Dallas Week!
Dallas is really no different than Philly. We already know what we can do offensively. Let's hope our defense has indeed changed for the better because they'll have their work cut out for them. They'll have to show that their performance against the Eagles yesterday was no fluke. Hopefully they will stifle the Cowboys offense.
This is my first post here. Thank you Warpath for accepting me in this forum family. Now to the good stuff. This week can define this franchise going forward. If we win this game we will play the VaGiants in our house with the division lead on the line. If they lose to Packers of coarse. But man I'm hype for this game. This is a playoff game for both teams. So we should see the best out of both. Browns got to Romo alot but their secondary was banged up playing rookies and old man Sheldon Brown. I kinda of have confidence we will show up again on defense. I also believe RG3 will have a big day. I say this game he has a stat line of 250 yards passing 2 TDs rushing for 80 yards and another rushing TD. I'll say 27-21 our way. Hail!!!!
Sounds good to me. Welcome aboard! |
Re: It's Dallas Week!
I know I'm going to sound like the kool-aid drinking homer, but the Redskins will win this ball game. Two reasons: The Cowboys feel good about themselves coming off of a win, but it was a hard fought game, and it's going to be difficult for them to turn around and be up for a division rivalry game just a few days removed from a game they almost lost. The Redskins, on the other hand, dominated and beat the Eagles - a division rival - convincingly. Despite how bad the Eagles may be this year, the Redskins will be very confident rolling into Dallas on Thursday. This team has played pretty well on the road, so going to Dallas won't be much of an intimidation factor. I fully expect it to be a classic back and forth game, but the Redskins will pull out a win in the fourth quarter and once again, all the NFL analysts will be jumping off the sinking ship that is the Dallas Cowboys.

I don't. Bradford is better than Romo. |
