Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
Its not that Reed or DHall did bad today, and even if they did the Josh Morgan play overtook them for first place for beatdown of the day.

Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
Let's just go ahead and cut or bench every receiver when they make a mistake or drop a ball.
Come on people -- just wait a little and calm your emotions down a bit. |
Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
Soft coverage sucks. Did the team dress more than 5 DBs (Ss and CBs combined)? STL operated mainly out of the shotgun (unless running) with 3/4/5 WR sets.

Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
Chill out Nancies. It happens, it is part of the game. While it sucks, it is what it is. Kind of over people yelling, "The Sky is Falling". It is a game, shit happens and you move on.

Stephen Jackson spiked the ball, he sat for the rest of the game. It's just a way to keep player discipline in tact. Cutting someone though is obviously an over reaction. |
Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
While not totally thrilled with our Defensive effort and how we handled the secondary or our Special Teams on punting, I am still psyched we FINALLY have a QB.
Morgan's not going to be cut nor should he be. Benched though, yeah, probably. The guy made a bonehead play. Did you see Hall out there? I'm surprised he didn't get a personal foul call. He was trying to swing on everyone.
Seemed like Hall was just stepping up for his guys and defending them. Anytime the Rams were acting like punks he said something. We could call it immature, but i'm sure the guys in the locker room appreciate him for it. |

I can finally say that the number of picks gave up for RGIII was worth it, he will be the next Sammy Baugh. |

Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
LOL!
The funny thing about this thread is it is the exact knee-jerk reaction I had immediately following when he threw the ball. I'm sure Orakpo (watching his expression was priceless) and Shanny thought the same. I'm sure he'll be allowed on the plane and calmer heads will prevail.
We thought this year would be different so we are taking out our frustration on Morgan.....why next thing you know people will be calling for the Skins to replace him with Terrell Owens or Chad Johnson......:laughing- And first person that mentions it.....:censored: |
Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
Releasing Morgan now creates a net cap loss of around $2 million.

What was up their collective asses anyway? EVERY SINGLE PLAY the Rams would start talking shit. It only took 10 kickoffs before the refs decided to step in between the Rams coming to talk shit to Banks. I mean at one point on a touch-back you could see them OBVIOUSLY coming to try and bait him. |
Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
i'm done with the Redskins. What a f0cking idiot! He's not on the team in the morning...
I'm not gonna lie, I think you're not done with the Redskins and you probably would've been better served off if you kept that to yourself. Now people are going to be questioning your fandom even in the best of times. |
Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
I don't want to absolve Morgan for his egregious mistake but....
The refs allowed this game to get out of hand. The rams to their credit came out physical to the point of over doing it. We kept our emotions as a team in check for a bit after multiple examples of over zealous chippiness it clearly started affecting us. Morgan's reaction wasn't just to a clear provocation but to a game of provocation. Finnegan is the type of player the league needs to rid itself of but does oohing to do so. In fact he gets rewarded for his mouthiness over and over. pathetic. |
Re: Release Josh Morgan or else....
Dumb thread. It's easy for us to be arm chair GMs and yell "cut this guy" and I'm not taking up for Josh Morgan at all, but I lost my cool several times during this game. Can you imagine actually playing in this game, knowing how dirty the Rams played and how these scab officials just let it go? Let Morgan redeem himself next week. The tied is turning guys, keep your heads.
