I don't know, a lot of the players selected here aren't really "no one else knows about" players. They're borderline Greatest Ever.
I'll go with RB-Kelvin Bryant RB-Joe Washington K/P-Steve Cox CB-AJ Johnson S-Curtis Jordan DE-ND Kalu WR-Calvin Muhammad
Like this this, although I would have left Calvin M off the list, just my opinion. I'd like to add Alvin Garret,he wasnt that good, but he did some special things for a few very meaningful games |

Re: 10 Favorite Redskins That No One Else Knows About
Anyone else remember Reggie Brooks, #40 RB? He was a 1,000-yard rusher for us.
Some more: Marvcus Patton Darryl Pounds Jamie Asher Chris Dishman Tre Johnson Dexter Nottage Raleigh McKenzie A.J. Johnson Alvoid Mays Ravin Caldwell Fred Stokes Mike Oliphant We have so many players that no one remembers was on the Redskins. Most were great players with OTHER teams so it's quite sad: Frank Wycheck Stan Humpries Rich Gannon Gerald Riggs Henry Ellard David Akers Trent Green Jeff Hostettler Alvin Harper Steve Entman (one of the biggest NFL busts ever) |

I know. Suddenly I can remember all of the names from my childhood that I haven't thought of for a few decades! This will be a good education for the younger members. |
Re: 10 Favorite Redskins That No One Else Knows About
Emtman could have been great... he had a rough time with injuries

Great one year wonder. I was so pumped when we drafted him, remember this run from Notre Dame? [YT]X6j_GnIb2pY[/YT] |
Re: 10 Favorite Redskins That No One Else Knows About
Marcus Washington. LOVED that guy when he played for us. Was beast most of the time and one of the nicest players I've ever met off-the-field.

Re: 10 Favorite Redskins That No One Else Knows About
We probably have so many QBs no one remembers.
Cary Conklin Jeff Rutledge Tony Banks Shane Matthews Danny Wuerffel John Friesz Ed Rubbert Unfortunately I'll never forget Heath Shuler. The bum still makes my blood boil. It was like false advertising, bait-and-switch...he was supposed to be so great. |
