Make a clip of Bowen's fourth quarter sack and put it on repeat...

Short version? NFL is taking down similar content on YouTube so to protect the videos I'm setting them to private for the time being. Please see my previous post earlier in the thread for a more detailed explanation. On a side note I'm convinced that the person taking down videos at NFL Legal is a Cowboy fan. Lets look at the videos that have been taken down Vince Young video showcasing every 2010 play (Current Eagle): Video Removed Redskins vs Cowboys Miracle Finishes: Video Removed NYGiantsCentral play by play video of the Skins/Giants game (Two NFC East teams): Video's Removed. Conspiracy solved. |
Well the good news is that I'm looking into other streaming sites that have laissez-faire copyright policieis. Bad news will be no more embedding.
Laissez-faire copyright policies? |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
I KNEW this would go....political..

In short a site that could care less about getting anything from the likes of Viacom, NFL, UMG, etc. I thought Metacafe would be a good choice but it seems like the NFL actually uses them for their videos on NFL.com. Vimeo has a very small upload limit per week (500 mb, compared to each of my videos which are usually around 300 mb). Basically I am looking for the Cayman Islands of online video streaming. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
There's no such thing as lax copyright policies.
You know you make my job very difficult...but I turn a blind eye, there are many others who don't though |
Call me crazy, but am i the only one besides that johnny5 guy that has the slightest inclination to think that Grossman might have a couple pro bowl type years ahead of him?
You do realize the Rex has had tons of games lime that his entire career right? Just wait a few weeks and well see if you still feel the same way. Regardless, I do think you're crazy if you think grossman would make the probowl over brees, rodgers, Ryan, or Vick. Hell newton had a better game Sunday, is he going to the probowl for years to come, too? |

Exactly. If only I could read Chinese or Russian then the problem would be solved :D
I click play, youtube says no :/ that guy is sad.
Videos are in witness protection. Sorry. I mean, um, the videos you are referring to don't exist nor did they ever exist. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
Personally, I think you should leave them up until they get taken down. Because honestly, if they're going to shut you down, they can still shut you down if you private your videos. It's not like because you private them, they can't see them on their end, I'm guessing.
Push comes to shove, you can just reupload them. My McNabb videos are still up, along with my highlights videos. |

The videos will be changed to unlisted. You guys can thank NLC and his baseball bat extortion techniques for this change of heart. As for the NFL actually finding them and putting in a request. It depends. YouTube has software that scans for certain images and audio to identify potential copyright violations. From that I can't hide. However if it's the same guys at NFL legal that look online for streams of games on Sundays then I can protect the videos by setting them as private. However that is all moot for now. As you said, worse realistic outcome is my YouTube channel gets shut down or I get asked to delete the videos myself before they hit me with the ban hammer. Anyway enough of the boring legal stuff. Enjoy the videos guys. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
I watched the video's of our defense last week, and i'm really impressed in the way we played. We gave up a few big plays, but overall we totally had Eli rattled and confused. We had a lot of free breaks against him on our Blitz packages, and Kerrigan played better then Alexander ever did all of last year.
If you watch the run defense at about 2:35. Nield is in there on a run defense play, and he does an incredible job flowing down the field holding up two blockers, and we make a great play at the line of scrimmage. Cofield played a hell of a game too. Sometimes he was blocked by one man, but for the most part he was in the backfield. |
Re: Game Tape: Week 1 vs Gaints
I watched Hightower's runs, and on one of the first runs of the game.. I noticed that Litch missed his block on the Linebacker, or Hightower could of taken that run for at least 30 yards.
If we are going to keep running to the outside the the TE's need to do a better job. Cooley let go of a block on Rolle in the 3rd, when Hightower could of picked up 15 or so. Instead only got 4. I think we would of had better success if we ran some cutbacks to the middle of the field. |
