So were you fine with Zorn as the HC ? Say Snyder went out and found some young guy and we are at 6-9 with that coach, would you be here calling for his head ? Only masking it with Snyders name ? Dude, we were OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS when they made the move to Grossman. WHAT IF they are saving McNabb for next year. Seeing what they have in Grossman as a #2 ? Who knows. It is Mikes first year here, give him the patience that you have wanted for all of the 3 years that you have suffered. So what who's move it was, we as fans bitched and moaned about Coaches being able to make decisions because we say that Snyder is doing it all so let the coaches do their job. So I guess you didn't like that McNabb splash either ? You should be happy with a lesser known, lesser hyped QB in Grossman shouldn't you ? Less of a splash wouldn't you think ?
Hiring a position coach directly to head coach will always be a disaster, Zorn was doomed since day one, Singletary Doomed since day one. Even though he is a great motivator. They never ran an offense or defense. Even with any chance of playoff hopes, John Beck should have been getting majority of the snaps, not Grossman. That is why he got the contract extension. I am aware that Shanahan is doing everything possible to find his next Elway. But it is not Grossman. Stupid moves create a bigger splash at the end of the day.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired

Do they really ? So say they dump McNabb and draft a QB is that a splash or building for the future ? Appreciate the losses, the wins will mean much more. I don't think Mike S. or our next HC Kyle S. will be going anywhere anytime soon and I'm completely fine with that. I've got nothing but time honestly. I'll see a winner here again. And why should Beck who has the extension see more than Grossman ? If I dump McNabb then I have Grossman until my new guy is ready, or I know I'll keep Grossman as my #2. And Beck is here, so I can wait on him.

Singletary's personality did him in IMO, besides the coaches that are out there. Gruden, Cowher, Harbaugh at Stanford. You think the 49ers aren't lookinf for a splash to get things energized on the West Coast ? Probably not because they don't have Snyder running the team correct ?

Who would you rather help mold a young QB, Mcnabb or Grossman?? And to answer your Grossman question, We know what Grossman can do, its nothing different from what he has done through his whole career. Atleast by seeing what Beck can do against a Team like the Giants who are still fighting for a playoff spot can really see where he is at.

Re: Mike Singletary Fired

I would rather my coach do it which would be happening. I really don't see McNabb leaving so you have my answer to the grooming questiong but Grossman knows the system so I think he could provide a little help. Could he tell me how to be elite ? Probably not, but he sure as hell can tell me where the hot read is. You have to undertand the system, Rex looks like he does. If McNabb returns then he should have a better undertanding of the system Kyle is running as well as everyone else on this teams offense.

As far as putting Beck up against the Giants ? It all depends on who the coaches throw out there, I don't give two shits who plays. I want to see a win since we won't have a chance to get AJ. Green.

Ive only watched a couple san fran games since Mike Singletary took over, but every game i saw i was like damn Singletary sucks as a coach. He had a lot of sportscenter clips and each time he said something he left me with the impression he was in way over his head with coaching pro players. He is the type of guy that sounds like he could do good as a college coach.

Plus, it was really getting old watching him feud with one of his players. I personally lost a little respect for Singletary when he immediately put Crabtree in the starting lineup his rookie season after a lengthy holdout.

Whenever I say him on TV I thought he looked like a high school coach. Between all the yelling and feuding with the players and the big wooden cross he just didnt seem like a professional coach to me. I think that act might fly in high school or a small college but that's about it.

At the same time, you can't kiss the player's butts and give everything to them on a silver platter. As far as Singletary's mentality, that is the type of coach every team needs, although with more head coaching talent.
Now, i'm not one to say.. "Hey, lets get this guy out of here after one year", but would you think it would be an upgrade to have him as our defensive cordinator next year?

He has the attitude of a practice and play kinda guy like Shanny. I think they would work well together though.
You are, my friend, living in yo yo land. Haslett just put together a great defensive scheme for all the new players who played in yesterday's victory and you want to replace him.

You are a prime example of a goofy fan who should just keep your suggestions to yourself while you visit the bathroom. LMAO at your "should we" suggestion. I knew someone would say the absurd and you get the dildo for your post.
Shanahan signed a 5 year deal, I expect he will be here for at least that long. I don't think he came back for a quick hitter.
I still say if things don't really turn around in the next two seasons Shanny is gone come Jan 1 2013. I say that because the fans are getting to the point that Lions fans were under Matt Millen. This season Mike gets a pass as he inherited a bad situation. Next year he will get somewhat of a pass, as well, but if 2012 is another crappy season fans are going to stay home or show up with bags on their heads, etc. Seriously these NFL ticket prices are a ripoff considering you are watching medicore football with the exception of a few elite teams that you can count on one hand. The FO needs to get a real plan with regards to building the team with younger players and drafting a lot smarter. If Snyder wants to drop a load of dough, he should get the best scouts in the game or just enlarge the # of scouts to evaluate potential draftees, young FAs and UFAs so we can find some real gems like Torain, AA, etc. If our FO drafts smart, doesn't give up any picks, and uses it to address needs of the team, I will rescind my 2013 prediction, but if the same silly crap occurs, I will hold to it. Just too much stupid shit thus far from the Mike and Bruce show so far for me to drink any kool aid.

Both Andy Reid and John Harbaugh had 8 years plus of coaching experience in the college and professional level.
