Re: I know "Preseason doesn't matter", but if it did...

If you couldn't tell, I really think 18 games is a horrible idea. Even if preseason games are reduced, coaches will just schedule scrimmages. If anything, some coaches will just bring their teams along slowly & try to reduce reg. season pt for starters as well.
I agree. 18 games is a bad idea. However, you hear the refrain, "Preseason is too long." Well, if so, just cut that to 2 or 3 games and then keep the 16 game season. Of course this plan will never reach fruit because it reduces revenues. |

Pretty much what everyone has already said. A fast-paced offense with JC making quick, smart decisions and the ability to improvise and thread the needle when he needs to. Our 2nd year wideouts showing they know the plays and executing them well. Davis getting involved in the offense. No sacks except by our defense and lots of pressure. INT's when the opportunity is there. Someone, anyone, showing me we have a LB capable of playing the SAM position at a high level. Heyer showing he has learned to run block. A couple of rookies making a statement and Colt showing improvement would be nice. Great thread!
