Re: Who do you take in round 3? (Wish List)
Tyrone Mackenzie (OLB) from Southern Florida is still out there. He is 6-2, 240 lbs. and is a hard hitting beast.
Check out his you tube highlights! Oh yeah, he was first team all Big East in 2008 and was a nominee for both the Butkus and Negurski awards. He had 116 tackles last year, which was econd in the Big East. He did fracture his leg a couple years back, but he has recovered nicely. This guy seems to be flying under the radar, and I'm sure the Skins are taking a hard look at this guy in the third... |
Re: Who do you take in round 3? (Wish List)
One reason why Tyrone Mackenzie has not received as much attention is that he played for three different colleges. He seems to be not only the most productive, but also the healthiest OLB left on the board, by far...

If they really do go by BPA then Duke Robinson or Antoine Caldwell should be the pick. Both would at the very least would give us quality depth inside. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they took Javon Ringer.
Haha, upon further review, you may have me beaten on this one. Either way. I am not comfortable with our CB's, all it takes is Deangelo to relapse into his oakland ways, and we are dead where we stand, 200 Mill in our DL or not.
A big pass rush can fix a lot of things my friend! |
Re: Who do you take in round 3? (Wish List)

Jonathan Luigs C
You have some good prospects but with only 4 picks left we better get a O-Lineman and the best available player on the board when we pick. It sucks not having that 2nd round pick that we used on pretty BOY Jason Dancing with the Stars Taylor. What a waste of pick on him |

But if you know about him so does every other scout in the NFL. Keep up the good info Bro. |
Re: Who do you take in round 3? (Wish List)
Gotta be a Tech fan; I like the guy and I know that 40 times aren't everything but his times kinda scare me, I mean there are a few lineman on each side that run faster, he was near the slowest at the combine for db's, a few qb's ran faster than him, etc
I love his aggressive style but he seems a bit stiff, maybe whoever gets him can move him to safety if he's not doing hot at CB
He ran 4.46 at his Pro Day. I'm not a VT fan but I am a Redskins fan and I think this guy is a helluva good football player. He could contribute in our secondary. |

Thanks. I overlooked Jamon Meredith. I'd put him on my list, as well. |
Nice!, I'm glad i'm not the only draft junkie.
I really like the Antoine Caldwell OL he's versatile.. My 2nd day 'Redskins' draft board: Jonathan Luigs C Jasper Brinkley LB Rashard Jennings RB Garret Reynolds OL Donald Washington CB Morgan Trent CB Johnny Knox WR/PR/KR Joshua Mauga LB Kaluka Maiava LB Moises Fokou OLB (Go Terps!) Jason Williams OLB Cedric Dockery G (Doc's lil Bro) Any Maryland OL- Jaimie Thomas/ Scott Burely Macho Harris CB Wompami Osaisai CB/ST Marcus Mailei -FB

If they really do go by BPA then Duke Robinson or Antoine Caldwell should be the pick. D.J Moore CB from Vanderbilt. Undersized, but puts up the numbers, would be nice to back up Smoot/Rogers. And he can return kicks/punts. 2.Jamon Meredith - OT South Carolina, best available. 3.Duke Robinson - OG Oklahoma, 330 lb gaurd 4. Lawrence Sidbury - DE/OLB Richmond, possible OLB?
I completely forgot that D.J. Moore was still out there he would be another great value pick. I really think we need to come out of the second day with: versatile OL that can be active on game day he would need to be able to back-up as many OL spots as possible A LB for depth who could play in a pinch A CB you can never too many good corners and imo Smoot and Tryon are huge question marks hopefully coaches Gray/Jackson can find another late round steal |
