Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
This doesn't make sense to me? I understand that JC would want a trade. He'd be wasting his time if he didn't. This is a business.
Here's my questions. If we do get Sanchez then who starts? You'll have two guys who haven't thrown a snap in a REAL game and Collins. Who wins? If you mortgage your future for a pick then he has to start right? What happens when he does? You're going to start a guy you just drafted over two guys who already know the system, one of which rallied the team to the play-offs by beating Chicago, NY, and Dallas? Danny boy, beware of the Cult of Colt! |
I don't think he has to do much demanding, if they take Sanchez it's probably a given that they will trade him.
That is the only sensible thing to do if they indeed take Sanchez. But then again to do that wouldn't be sensible in the first place. JC is and will be a better QB in the NFL than Sanchez ever will be. Now if they were pulling this stuf in 2010, I could see at least some rhyme and reason in it(getting McCoy or Bradford), but Sanchez isn't going to pan out. He is just the only big name in a rather weak QB draft year. |

My problem with this is if even if they don't go for Sanchez, it sounds like there is already bad blood between JC and the FO. Doesn't bode well for the season!!!!! With this latest fiasco I think JC is gone in 2010 for sure. Snyder will let him loose or JC is going FA and not even opt to resign!!!! |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Actually rethinking that it might bode well for 2009, as JC could get totally pissed and do great and take off after the season ends telling Snyder where he can stick his new contract offer. Snyder might have no choice but to deal for McCoy or Bradford then.

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Saturday could suck...
I'm still fairly convinced that QB is not our actual target but now with Jason talking a little bit...I'll admit I'm getting a little nervous. I really just can't find a way to believe that Sanchez is going to be so much better than Campbell. |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
This could set the team back a few years . OLine Danny ,,, OLine ! If we trade up to take him , we will probably give up too much , we gave up 2 freakin 1st's , a 2nd and 4th for JC , now 4 years later this ? If I were JC , I would welcome the challenge , if he looks like he can't handle competition , nobody will want to take him . Hell, he should come out and say something like ,,, this is my team and bring on the rookie, I love to compete . OLINE DANNY -VINNIE ,,, OLINE

Is Jeff George still available?

Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Snyderatto has burned this bridge beyond repair in my opinion. I'm beginning to believe that Zorn might be building Campbell up to his face but tearing him down to the FO. My gut instinct with the Zorn hire was that the FO must give Campbell at least 2 years to assimilate yet another offensive system, yet it appears that in typical Snyder fashion, we are going to change up at the most important position on the team. I was convinced that Campbell would be our QB for 10 years, but nothing is ever a given with the instability this owner brings to the franchise. I will be completely disgusted if we mortgage yet more draft picks to select Sanchez.
Its Colt time! The Days of Colt are near. No way can Sanchez out perform Colt.
You need to wakeup about Colt Brennan, the front office not thinking about him. Why would they be so in love with Sanchez if they thought Colt could start this season. They could just trade Campbell for a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Sorry my friend Colt is not seeing any action in the regular season unless all the QB's get injuried. |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
Where does JC say that? Heck the link doesn't even mention an unnamed source.
Right on! I think this rumor is a bunch of crap. Wyche has fallen for a smokescreen and has built up an entire house of cards regarding the Redskins and Sanchez. JLC then repeated what Wyche falsely said. JC is not quoted in the story. A source is not given. And JC didn't whine through the whole Cutler drama, but now he's uncharacteristically making demands BEFORE Sanchez is even drafted? It just doesn't sound like JC. I put as much credence in this story as I do the story, "The Redskins have signed Santa Claus to play defensive back." |
Re: Campbell will ask for trade if Redskins draft a QB
If we trade up to get Sanchez are we going to here that we were set up and could have picked him at 13?

Sorry GUSFREROTTE this situation is F**K Up. The front office better trade Campbell now because they have showed him he is not their Guy. Jim Zorn is a puppet coach who has no say in what QB he wants running his system. Sndyer wants his Sanchez and as we know he will do whatever it takes to get Sanchez. This means give up picks, players, and cash. Who any the world really thought we would land Albert Hanyesworth in free agencency. Of course we make him the highest paid defensive player. This sh*it has got me so hot over trying to move up to get a QB we dont need. We are screwed this season. I smell 6-10 with a rookie QB in the NFC BEAST.... |

Well said my friend. Mr. Synder is back to knee jerk reactions. If we trade up what is it going to cost our team? We have needs at SLB,DE,O-line. We have a total of 5 draft picks, what do we have to move up? Ok we give our entire draft for a spot to take Sanchez. LOL. Its a wonder the the Redskins owner is a nation wide punch line. Mr Money Bags (Synder) says he wants to win a Super Bowl but he doesn't listen to football people. Go get your golden boy QB from USC and see what this team does this season. I smell last in our division. This Sucks... |

I am just thinking about all the possibilities here. The scenario about JC having a great season is definitely far fetched at this point, but the only possible positive that could come from this is that we pass on Sanchez, but JC gets pissed off and develops a I will show him(Snyder) attitude and we might eeck into the playoffs. In the long term this is going to suck, regardless of whether we get Sanchez or not. |
