Re: JLC: Orakpo, Sanchez Scenarios, Updates
This Sanchez debate is a tempest in a teapot. We're not going to get him. There are a number of teams who need a QB who either draft in front of us, have more ammunition to move up than we do, or both. Again, it ain't gonna happen.
Trade down into the 20's. Get a 2nd round pick. LDE Ty Jackson in the 1st. RT Phil Loadholt in the 2nd. DE Lawrence Sidbury in the 3rd. Move Sidbury to SLB. Mission accomplished. |

Trading down is easier said than done.

Center, Linebacker Are Late-Round Options. Here is JLC's latest story headline. Wow, that's insightful. I imagine everything, even a punter are late round options.

Dan Snyder would be as happy with that draft as he would getting a pair of tube socks for Christmas. |

Where's all the hoopla about Orakpo's dinner?
"The visit with Washington went really well," Orakpo said. "I got a chance to meet Mr. Snyder and [executive vice president] Vinny Cerrato and Coach Zorn and the rest of coaching staff. We had a nice dinner, and I know Mr. Snyder likes to take care of his players, and we had a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant, a good steak house, and it was a good chance for them to get to know you better and have a little fun.
No one really knows what's going to happen, but the two people I trust most when it comes to the draft say we are taking Orakpo at #13 (that he will actually be there at that point). I hope they're right. |
Re: JLC: Orakpo, Sanchez Scenarios, Updates
Anybody grab the Draft preview by USA Today? There's a pic of Orakpo of him lifting towing chains and man is that guy ripped. He looks like he has cinder blocks on his shoulders!

Well although, I personally prefer us to draft a T.. I'm starting to like the idea of drafting Orakpo.. If that is the scenario, I would be satisfied.. I hope your people are right, as well.. |

Hmmm. Root for Florida much? :D |

Not at all really, he just doesn't impress me. I admittedly don't watch much college ball but from what I've seen he's just a guy, nothing extraordinary. |

Lol, I was rushing to that this post, was like "must put smiley must put smiley, must make sure not to get in more misunderstandings." Anyway glad to see you 'presumed' the smiley. As for Duke. I guess you're on to something because right now the guy seems to be a third round pick. Nothing like Chilo Rachel last year. |
