BigHairedAristocrat, The authority of news worthyness. Apparently not everyone agrees with you. But next time I post a thread I'll run it by your desk first. :goodjob: |
Re: Chris Cooley Endorses Vinny Cerrato
I thought hooskins said he didn't know why Blache started Smoot in front of Rogers.
I think it was a combination of things 1.) Springs getting healthy, when healthy he's our best corner 2) Rogers being slightly "injured" with the flu or whatever it was he has that gave the team an opening 3) Hall making plays. Overall I think it was a message to Rogers to make some damn plays. Rogers is like the good friend you go to the movies and dinner with and always have a good time but you hope for something more. Hall is Champagne with the fishnet stockings, 6 inch high-heels, and possibly a missing tooth on the corner of 14th and T Streets, NW at 1am. At least you know you'll get something out of Champagne
Hey Smootsmack, my GPS does not do intersections any chance of a numerical address? You know...to help a brother out. lol. I thought Smoot was brought in to help upgrade our CB position. Smoot actually played his best ball with us and we let him go. He was not that bad although his cushion was irritating in his first stint he was young enough to catch up and be effective most of the time....very similar to Rogers. Now Smoot is to old and can't catch up. He's better off jamming at the LOS. AS far as Smoot replacing Rogers. I don't know. I noticed Smoot playing more often. possibly cause of injuries to Rogers and him being sick I'm not sure. When Rogers was healthy it seemed he couldn't get on the field. Then when Springs goes down instead of relying on Rogers, Hall was brought in. Hall is definitly an upgrade over Rogers but why they didn't move Smoot back to the Nickle back and bring Rogers back in with Hall was beyond me. |
SmootSmack, and you thought this thread was dead before it started. Your post has to be nominated HOF. Where the %^*# do you come up with that. Really Funny thanks for the laugh
Maybe not the most news worthy but definatly entertaining.
Once summer in college, when I wanted some extra money I worked on that corner doing public relations...seriously...and no, I wasn't a Pimp. I was the Playa President!!! Seriously though, worked there one summer. Saw the occasional "Champagne" if I was at the office late enough. Ben's Chili Bowl for lunch |

It seemed like he started getting less playing time after that. |
Re: Chris Cooley Endorses Vinny Cerrato
Okay, Cooley likes Vinny...hooray! The fact still remains that Vinny insisted on changing our offensive philosophy to a WCO with players that aren't suited to that type of offense. Vinny still refuses to draft for need. Vinny still refuses to admit that we need help on both Lines. Vinny still goes out and trades away future draft picks for 10 year veterans to one year contracts. Vinny wasted a 6th round draft pick on a damn Punter and then cuts him 4 weeks into the season when again, we needed help on the O-line.
I could go on and on but most people here understand where I'm coming from. Vinny needs to go. Danny needs to go and if neither one of those scenarios come to pass, this team will remain the mediocre franchise that it has become. |

Secondly where did you come up with such an original post. Sorry Bluefincrab. I couldn't resist :) Maybe if the Indians get their way we can change our name to the Washington Mediocres. I think you gotta give this system at least one more season to make that statement solid. If things don't change next season Im right there with you. But let's at leasr see what Zorn can do. What other choice do we have brother. |

Re: Chris Cooley Endorses Vinny Cerrato
Hard to go in a thread here anymore without someone asking if the thread should've even be made. I guess we should all just vote on one thread and post in it :p

Was this post even necessary? Let's have a vote |
Re: Chris Cooley Endorses Vinny Cerrato
Yeah the "Thread Police" can sometimes be obnoxious and hypocritical.
The reality is if someone does not like a thread don't read it. |
Re: Chris Cooley Endorses Vinny Cerrato
Was it the best thread ever? No but I thought it would invite conversation, which it did. I saw insight to Cooleys conversation that others may not have. Some did like Skinny Tee. I have read and participated in some useless threads just in the spirit of comradery. Some of those threads turned out to be fun and interesting as different opinions surfaced. I respect the moderators opinion of a thread and apologized to SmootSmack when he questioned it's worthyness. But in the end we had a good time with it. I don't respect fellow Warpathers criticizing a thread to their standards. Like some of my brothers said if you don't like a thread don't participate in it. If it stinks it will slide down the page and vanish. I do value everyone opinions threads and posts. I have learned a lot since joining the Warpath and glad to be a part of it.

Re: Chris Cooley Endorses Vinny Cerrato
The offseason is typically a breeding groud for worthless threads, which this is not, IMO. If you think it's worthy of discussion and it's not a duplicate, then post it. Like the mods say, this isn't a democracy. If it's worthy, the they will leave it open. If not, it goes bye bye. If every thread needed unanimous member approval, there wouldn't be much going on around here.
