Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
I believe anyone has the right to say that they want, stupid or not. Just like everyone has the right to not agree with them. But like I said in the Detroit thread, people love to pile on when everything's going wrong. Yet when everything's going right, those some people who love to crap on the team are nowhere to be seen.
And that's not to say that the people who are saying what Snyder is doing is crap, aren't going to come around and eat their share of crow if things pan out. Because a lot of those people are a pretty well-respected crew around here who will eat a piece of humble pie when necessary. Everyone has the right to say Snyder is a terrible owner and that our front office is run by a bunch of monkeys. Just like everyone has the right to say that that idea is a bunch of crap. I don't know why people get so jaded when they realize people might think differently than they do.
You're right to an extent. 6.
I think you are wrong about the Warpath not making money, but never the less, if you take away everyone, but the VIP's, I dont think you have a viable website, profitable or not. Also, I was not saying that Warpath and the Redskins were related, I was justifing why I had the right to voice my opinion of our owner.
Well TO looks like there's nothing left for you to do but retire in protest. |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
she's f'ing terrible, only writes about the team when bad things happen, and has no idea what's going on since she writes about the redskins FROM NEW YORK!
screw that. I don't even know why the post keeps her employed. |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
It's a piece of crap article. Maybe she should start threads here, she'd fit right in.
All she says basically is "I don't know what happened but I'm going to take a lot of shot at Snyder because I have nothing better to do"
How can you compare her to some people starting threads? I still dont' see what was so wrong with Joe Gibbs 3.0. It sure as heck is better than Sally's crap! |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
I don't even read her articles anymore. As others have noted, she is absent when things are rolling and all over the team when things go sour. I have been critical of the decision to let go of Williams and Saunders, but I'm not going to bother even looking at the words she puts down on paper.

Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
as far as TO - this site was created in part for the mods (SS/matty) to discuss the redskins, and NOT so they could bow down and agree with every stupid thing that was ever said.
go to ES and complain about how those mods don't agree with you and how they shouldn't treat their "clients" like crap, and watch for the ban hammer to fall. If you're not paying the owners, you're not a client, you're a guest, and whether you stay or go is on you. If you think the warpath is making gobs of money though, that's absolutely wrong. it started as a yahoo group and then matty decided to get a real site (i believe a lot of the money is still out of his pocket), and he's been adding features ever since (chat rooms, arcade, rep system, etc). |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
I think she clip and pasted from post here on this site.

Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
A pretty childish article if you ask me. I still can't believe she gets paid to write crap like that.

Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
I read the article, and while I don't mind criticism of the team, Jenkins is just being controversial to be controversial. The toy references are asinine, and are probably just mindless dribble to fill the contents of her column. You want a reaction out of fans? Do some research and state facts, not talk about some toys your children asked for but you didn't get for them.
As far as this site making any money, I'd be surprised if Matty didn't take all the ad money and other sources of revenue from the site and put it right back into the site itself. And if he pockets some for himself, so be it. The site is his to do what he pleases. |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
Although a little childishly written, the article is an opinion based piece. She speaks of what alot of people in the media think whether its accurate or not.
Now as far as good points, I think she makes alot of sense. Nothing really new, as we've all been discussing these topics for years now. Childish, yes but seems to be alot of truth to it. |

ITS FOR THE PEOPLE RUN BY THE PEOPLE!
What good is a fan site with no fans to discuss the Skins? |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
The frantic defense of Lil' Danny and his 50-62 record is quite comical.
Especially when you consider how many interceptions he's thrown. Or all of the tackles he's missed. |

What good is a fan site with no fans to discuss the Skins?
I agree it's "for the people". But I'm curious how many hours of admin time have you put in? How much of the server cost did you pay for? How much of your money supports the site? I'll bet it's the same as me, none, none & none. This site is certainly not "run by the people". I'm sure this site won't shut down because some folks posting one liners that show no rational thought cease to post or visit the site. |
Re: Sally Jenkins' Best article yet
If it bothers us so much that others in the media world are always being so critical of Dan Snyder and our beloved Redskins, then we must be reminded of the fact that "charitty starts at home". I'm pretty sure Snyder does not visit fan forums but there probably are some media types that do, and take their cue from us.......[and say]
We find it truly amazing how some Redskins fans can be so critical of their owner, and the method in which he operates, yet find it offensive when others outside the organization echo the same sentiments, and when they do, the backlash is on. Shortly, someone will start a new thread complaining about how & why the media is always spinning bad tidings about the Redskins.
Great post and well put. My sentiments precisely. |

Definately a great luxury to have a site like this one. But its really run by the visitors who come and members who post. I didn't mean "run" like watering the trees. |
