Re: BREAKING NEWS: Kyle Busch Heading To Joe Gibbs Racing
I can't speak for everyone here...but I personally don't care.
I don't think there really is an "american" car anymore. All toyota's in america are built here. So it's still supporting american workers. I just say that cause Toyota has not shown to have a good car in NASCAR, just like Dodge has fallen from having great cars to having crap cars now. (comparitively speaking to Chevy and Ford)
Toyota's are not made here, they are "Assembled" here. The parts are shipped in boxes and American workers assemble the cars. By doing this Toyota pays lower tariffs compared to shipping a whole car already put together. |

You know what I meant. Fact is, a lot of actual parts are made in Taiwan etc. But thanks for showing up for yet again, one brief moment in time to correct someone. |

No matter where the parts are made or the cars are assembled the profits still end up in Japan and helping their economy and not ours and that sucks. |

That is true. My point was of saying this: All toyota's in america are built here. So it's still supporting american workers. was to show that by buying a Toyota, you are supporting American workers. While profits do go to the big whigs in Japan, the blue collar workers here are still supported. The true point of my comment is that I don't think it matters if you drive a toyota / chevy / ford / or dodge, it's all about who wins, and that's chevy and ford. |

But buy purchasing an American made car has a domino affect on the rest of the country financially. Not only does the car company benefit themselves but the textile companies as well (the steel manufactures, the rubber companies, plastic companies etc.) and they keep more American’s employed then Toyota does. Even if those companies import the raw materials they profits still stay here. |

Sometimes yer just a jerk just to be a jerk.
More on Gibbs to Toyota..done deal? HOF to RCR engines? UPDATE 3 denied: hearing the decision has been made and that Joe Gibbs Racing [#11, #18, #20] will switch from Chevrolet to Toyota in 2008 and the announcement should come in early September.(8-6-2007) UPDATE: Joe Gibbs Racing still hasn’t announced whether it will switch to Toyotas next year, but the buzz is that it will. Some clues? Tony Stewart’s souvenir trailers were selling merchandise at 50% off regular price last week at the Brickyard, Stewart’s home track and a place where the Hoosier native is wildly popular. Also, a source at Richard Childress Racing said it has been approached by Hall of Fame Racing, a satellite Gibbs team, about buying engines from the newly merged RCR-Dale Earnhardt Inc., engine operation in 2008. Presumably, HOF is hedging its bets, if it ends up not being part of a Gibbs move to Toyota.(Ford Racing)(8-6-2007) UPDATE 2: JGR will jump from Chevrolet to the Toyota camp beginning in 2008, joining Michael Waltrip Racing, Bill Davis Racing and Team Red Bull on the list of teams running Toyota Camrys. Neither Busch nor JGR have made any official comment on the move, but Gibbs officials have already informed Hall of Fame Racing that they will not continue to provide the team with engines next season, prompting Hall Of Fame to contact Richard Childress Racing about a similar engine-supply deal for 2008.(Motorsports Soapbox)(8-6-2007) UPDATE 3: Hall of Fame Racing officials have not been told by Joe Gibbs Racing that JGR will not provide the HOF with engines next season, nor have HOF officials contacted RCR.(8-6-2007)
jayski.com |

jayski.com
I see you finally decided to check out jayski.com on this as I had suggested. As for the "jerk just to be a jerk" comment you've got to be kidding me. It was an innocent enough question that you didn't have to get all worked up over. But you did, as you always do. |

And Ford and Chevy parts are all made in the USA? Do you know what the most American made vehicle is? Honda and I am not for sure which car, but I heard that a couple of years ago. |
