Re: Questions from a Jersey Virgin
Yea I have a few Arrington jerseys myself.:( I was hoping Macintosh would where 56. But as far as I know nobodies taken it yet.
I was thinking about throwing my last name on a couple of them. But I might hold out a year and see if #56 gets picked up by a player I like. But you should definitely change your Smoot & Bailey jerseys. If there authentic just use the seam cutter like I stated before. Start with the name plate undo the stitching all the way across the top and down one side. This will let you cut the stitches from behind the name. That way if you slip you wont mess up the jersey as easily. Just take your time and be patient. It takes about 45min so you might want to do it in a few 15 min sessions. If it's a replica jersey you might just be able to flip the name plate over. Or if not have them screen the name directly on the jersey. The tailors usually can make name plates. But sometimes it hard to get them to match your jersey perfectly. |
What exactly do you mean by athletics store? Are there any specific stores that do this?
I go to Chick's Sports in Woodland Hills, but most Little League teams have a favorite place to get jerseys and T-shirts printed. They can normally handle a plate swap. Bit of a drive for the East Coast boys. |
Re: Questions from a Jersey Virgin
You think they'd handle mail order?

Wherever you live you GOT to have a store that does a similar job. Hell, give 'em a call and ask, if they say "no" mail it to me I'll get them to do it and mail it back. We're a Burgundy and Gold Brotherhood, right? |

Re: Questions from a Jersey Virgin
I've called a bunch of local screenprinting and embroidery services, all of them handle bulk type of work for entire teams. Not having much luck here.

Re: Questions from a Jersey Virgin
This seems like the right place. I feel like I'm getting the jersey itch again (that sounds like something you'd pick up after a weekend trip to Atlantic City) and I think I might break my own rule and buy a new one this season.
It's a toss up between Cooley, Griffin, and Washington. I want a white one. I really like Cooley (he's dreamy) but I figure that's going to be everywhere this season. I really like Washington, but I've also kind of wanted a Griffin jersey since halfway through the '05 season and the team just started selling them. So what do you guys think? |
Re: Questions from a Jersey Virgin
maybe I'll just get a custom Albright jersey and be done with it.
