Good luck with that. Everyone knows the Rams don't need a QB so let them draft him and the price will come down as he sits the bench or get Bradford @ a lower price.

You missed the point. The point is that some other team will offer a king's ransom for that pick, much more than a 1, a 3, and Cooley.
If today didn't provide enough evidence that Beck can't make the throws necessary to lead the offense, this is going to be a long season of trying to explain to people that the QB situation sucks.

Look, John Beck lost a QB competition to Rex Grossman five years into his career. Might the Redskins have no choice but to turn to Beck and hope for the best? Perhaps. Does that mean that our offense is so incredibly limited that we have no choice but to play a career backup? That's the obvious read here.

If the offense is so inept that Grossman is going to be put in bad situations where he can turn the ball over all season, then it's not an offense that is going to make Beck a success story. If we're making a quarterback change to limit the damaged caused by the quarterback, then fine, play John Beck.

But then we need to realize that the bar for the offense is being set at "I hope we have fewer turnovers than touchdowns." Such is the only standard in which Beck can achieve success.
I've seen Beck make the throws he didn't make today, iv'e also seen the WR's like Gaffney and Stallworth make the catches they didn't make either. You guys are reading between the lines to much.

Out of 15 throws. I remember 4 being dropped, and he completed 8. He also put together our ONLY touchdown drive of the game. I'm not saying Beck is the next Elway because I have no idea, but that goes the same for a guy saying a QB cannot make the throws and we are limited to average play from him by seeing those "15 throws"

He came in and did what he could with what he was given. How about we give it till next week to start calling out what we think Beck is right now?

I remember people saying Alex Smith couldn't do it.... Just saying...
The Rams will be in a bad position if they get the 1st pick. Draft Luck or do what........

I can't see a trade happening for the #1 pick.
Disagree. They have a franchise QB that has no O-line and no WR's. They could get a king's ransom for the #1 overall pick in 2012 and could really improve their team with said ransom, all the while not losing Bradford.
People do that for every position. They are simply are not trained to think it terms of probabilities of success. Mike Shanahan is no fool. Drafting a QB is a commitment with a certain degree of risk. If you're going to take one, you better be confident you scouted him out right or else you're better off getting some stars for other positions on your team.
I don't disagree with that. What I do disagree with is the people around Redskin nation that are seeing the problems at QB and think that getting that QB in next years draft is going to immediately fix things in 2012, which they won't unless they somehow end up with Andrew Luck. We'd be looking at a QB that won't be productive and able to win games on his own until 2013 at the earliest which is part of the reason I've been against the hesitation towards drafting a potential franchise QB thats come from the fanbase since 2010 and the next years class will be the best ever clan.

I get your point but if I was another NFL team I wouldn't offer a kings ransom and force the Rams hand.

The Colts could end up with the pick which will be interesting as well.
Then trade for Bradford.
If I were the Rams and Luck is good as everyone think he's going to be I'd trade Bradford to the Skins and keep Luck. I'm sure they can save a lot of cap space too by getting rid of Bradford's contract.

A QB-starved team who deems Luck as their savior will likely have to deal with another team with the same outlook; there isn't only just one team with QB issues. Whoever can pay the highest price will win. If Charlie freaking Whitehurst can fetch a second and a third, Luck will be paid a king's ransom.

But you wouldn't force their hand. They could always draft Luck and then trade one of their 2 QB's down the road.

The fact is, whoever has the Luck pick is going to get enormous trade offers.

Whoever has the #1 overall will not trade out. If it's the Rams, they likely take Luck and trade Bradford. Colts will hold Luck. Luck will never be a Redskin. Better to focus on the next tier of QBs that will likely be available in the area of 15-20 in the draft.

Better hope Luck makes it through the season healthy........lol

Thank you.

This talk of getting Luck on the cheap is like dreaming to buy a million dollar house with $50,000.

I would give up my moderatorship, break up with DynamiteRave (yeah she doesn't know it either), and ban you for the chance to see Bradford in a Redskins uniform

The Rams problems are not at QB. They'd be pretty stupid to get rid of Bradford, but hey I'd take him in a heart beat.
