We might. |

I hope not, okay if they want to move up for one of the QBs but otherwise stay put or trade down. Lot of people going to watch closely what the new FO do. |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
JB is an 8 year vet with 48 starts under his belt, naturally he's going to look the part vs Sam who's on start #15.
Plus it's worth noting that Sam may never be great at dropping back and operating from the pocket efficiently on a consistent basis. He's good off schedule, but still has a ways to go from the pocket.
This is exactly how I feel about Caleb Williams. Everyone just looks at his wow plays which are spectacular. But that is not going to cut in in the NFL. He reminds me a lot of Zach Wilson and to a lesser extent Sam- except Sam is way more mentally tough and better cut out for the NFL. |
As of today
Bears (panthers) Pats Cards Comms Bears That’s the top 5. If we beat the jets next week then we will drop to 6 or 7. The Pats will 100% take a QB unless they can get Kirk cousins or something. Bears are a ? Cards won’t take a QB. So we will have Maye or Williams at 4 for sure and that’s not to say we don’t trade up to number 2 with NE. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
maybe we take back Cousins.. |

i dont want to trade down either, we seem to do that more and more and it never works for us |
Bo Nix IMO is not worthy of a 2nd round pick. He is a 5th or 6th round project.
I disagree . . . i think he is QB #5 in this draft, ahead of Penix, behind Williams, Maye, Daniels and McCarthy. |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Sam really not coming out smelling like roses today huh? Well there goes the whole we got a good quarterback playing on the cheap for a few years plan.

He's been really bad for 4 straight weeks now. Yesterday Terry goes off when JB comes in. Maybe Sam is just a QB2, he was a 5th rd pick for a reason. I was all in on him after 6 weeks but hes been bad here lately |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
Id hate that
lol . . . you'd hate the 3 of the 4 best offensive lineman and the 5th QB in the draft? |

A first round QB is relatively inexpensive when you compare it to some of the recent free agent and second QB contracts. If that's the direction that the team wants to go. |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
The amount of people on Reddit saying to get rid of Sam (not even realizing he’s still on a rookie deal) is crazy. To me he’s shaping up to be another Heinicke, he’ll win you games but he’ll never get you to the promised land. Granted that could change with the next coaching regime because I don’t think we’ve hit Sam’s ceiling yet and he can be developed more but letting the dude go is wild to me.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If the new GM decides to draft a QB I think we could get a day 2 pick for Sam. There are plenty of QB hungry teams out there and Sam has displayed enough that some one would gamble on him. I would prefer that over keeping Sam and having a QB competition. If they have doubt who the actual starter is then we don't have an actual starter. But who knows at this point. |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
I'm just going to put this out here right now..
If this team somehow ends up with Mac Jones , Jimmy G or Justin Fields as QB I'm OUT |

Or you can keep him as a reliable/cheap backup, since Brissett won't be around (I think he had a 1-year deal). I think if any player gets moved, it will likely be Jon Allen. |

I think it’ll be a lot of movement of players during the off season. Seriously can’t wait to see some of these names fly off the roster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I wouldn't mind if Washington takes him. I've seen mock drafts that have him being selected in the top 5. He probably has faced the toughest competition out of the top QB prospects. |
Re: The Sam Howell Thread
when is the last time a heisman trophy winner has really worked out. Joe Burrow - hurt a couple years in a row now... That is my concern about taking Daniels. the Heisman curse

Fine with him being a backup, not sure about him guiding anyone along. He apparently failed to let Sam know to throw the ball to 17. |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Biggest LSU fan here He has gotten insanely better at everything over the last year, he is gonna have to put on some weight and learn to get down, he takes a lot of unecessary hits. He also has always had NFL level WRs Aiyuk at ASU Nebers and Thomas at LSU If he pans out I see either a much much better version of Mariotta or a poor mans Lamar Jackson, but you gotta surround him with the right pieces. |

He's a much more advanced passer than Jackson going into the draft. I'd be happy with him or Maye. Williams just doesn't do it for me. I like Penix too, but his injuries scare me. I'd take Penix in the 2nd though if he's available. |
This is such a perfect post. I have no rebuttal. I love that dude. He's my new Gary Clark. And Gary Clark is why the Redskins/WFT/Commanders are my favorite team in the 1st place. I'm not too far off from being a Packers fan either, because Sterling Sharpe was my 2nd favorite player. I played football from the age I was allowed to until the age I wasn't good enough, never played WR, but for some reason, they're always my favorite players. |

Yeah he acted out on game day. Terry probably won't reach 1,000 yards this year but he's had his moments. |

He only needs 165 yards over these last 3 games |
