Jay has four more years fully guaranteed, he's not going anywhere

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Bruce Allen isn't the problem, Dan Snyder is folks. All boils down to him and always has. I like Bruce, he brought in Scot. If Scot wasn't a drunk he'd still be around

"Allen also disapproved of McCloughan’s hands-on approach with players. At one point late in the year, a frustrated defensive back left practice with the session in progress and retreated to the locker room. McCloughan went to retrieve him, telling the player to come to his office so they could talk. Allen, according to two people, later reprimanded McClouhghan, cursing at him and telling him never to go in the locker room again." Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Why are we tortured every year with this sh$$t? Rotating HC every 2 years (even Zorn), Vinnie Cerrato for years, high priced FA like Haynesworth, RG3, scandals with Shanahan, McNabb, and now Scott McC and Cousins drama. Seems like every single year it's another drama-filled story like an amateurish organization.
Despite it all, if we somehow sign Cousins, we're still in a good place to do well and pick up from last year. Even if we lose Cousins, I think we'll take a step back but I wonder if Colt will surprise - we still have good O-line, top TE talent, Crowder, ?Doctson, and lots of cap for fixing defense.. Just stop the freaking media side show. If we're going to part with Scott - fire him now and avoid 2 months of media frenzy. Quash the rumors and move forward. Hate seeing our name in the ESPN headlines for stupid crap. |
I'm guessing his influence has diminished over time. I'm not trying to credit or discredit anyone, just saying we've gotten some good results lately and maybe it's not all due to McC.
Fair enough. I'm definitely not trying to say we only have McC to thank for where we're at, clearly Gruden has played a hand in the success of this team. But right now Gruden is our only saving grace. Way too much negative bs about the McC/Allen beef and the Kirk not wanting us bs for me to think Gruden can steer us out of this ship alone. I didn't have a problem with Allen handling the business side of things, but I have a major problem with Allen being involved in player evaluations. He's got 1 good draft in 2014 (that might be partially based on McC's scouting service) and then he's got fuck-all in years of drafting. He ruined the Bucs, and somehow managed to outlast Shanahan (I guess because he was the bit player and Mike S. had "total control.") But as long as Allen/Snyder are in charge, I will be convinced we are not any better off then we were. Especially if Kirk leaves and we get a ham sandwich or worse in return. |

Bruce is making this franchise better how? by "winning off of the field"? He's doing an excellent job this off season. |

And wouldn't this be more on par with an earlier discussion in regards to there being somewhat of a power struggle between Jay and Scot? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |
Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!! Let the chips fall where they may!!!!!!!! IF Scot gets canned, he gets canned. It is out of your hands and not our call. If he gets the axe you will still wake up tomorrow and go about your day, just like when the Skins blew their last game and missed the playoffs. My thing is this $#%@ is getting very, very, old, and like watching the same movie repackaged time after time after time. The NFL product isn't what it used to be, and isn't all that anymore. The quality of the football being played is terrible(not just Skins). IN short, it is downright boring and predictable, and really not entertaining at all anymore, which is what sports is anymore(entertainment). I am not looking forward to the 2017 season already and we still haven't hit the draft yet. Snyder needs to start understanding people are at a saturation point with the drama that is Redskins Park and quite frankly are ready to go elsewhere. One thing though, if Kirk is traded, the legacy of RG III will be finally past us and maybe we can truly start over again!!!!!! Oops wait this would be the same vicious cycle we have been witnessing the past 17 years!!!!!! Nothing changes does it!!!!

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Skins fans really need to follow Detroit's example and make damn sure there are a ton of empty seats at FEDEX all season long and for the foreseeable future if things turn out to be a total cluster$%#& in 2017. The Ford's were shamed into doing something to get a winner, not too mention get the butts back in the seats, maybe Snyder will get a brain.

Re: Trouble in Redskins Park?
Been a fan close to 35 years. Stuck with the team through all the ups and downs. Not sure how much more of this I can take.
