Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
exactly. LSU's qbs are garbage this year and will not be successful nfl players imo.
I tell you what done imagine this. You done be walking round with 2 ton ankle weights and then you done be one day in late April be finally lowed ta take dem weights off. Dats what many SEC QB's done experience when they go from facing SEC defenses to NFL defenses. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
That is so insensitive. Moore is of British descent while McCoy is clearly Irish. I shall be reporting you to the hire ups for blatant racism and recommend you take sensitivity training :D
But yeah besides that it's basically the gist. Keep in mind though there are people holding out hope that McCoy's career is following the same trajectory of a certain storied QB that goes by the name of Drew Brees (who is Dutch, thank you very much).
McCoy ran the option*** against big 12 defenses.. Moore ran for negative yards every year he played for Boise.. Just based off that, there can be NO comparisons made between these two quarterbacks. Oh and that connection between Brees and McCoy is just painful to hear about.. No realism behind it. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
Doesn't mean his arm strength isn't good enough or he won't succeed.
But it does mean that comparing him to Cutler is a little bit crazy. There's going to be a big arm in every draft, it's not right to draw comparisons to the elite arms in the NFL each year. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
Based on what I've heard Cutlers arm is the elite of the elite. Knocking down any QB for not being as strong arm strength wise is like comparing a pitcher with a 103 mph fastball to one that regularly can throw up to a 100 mph and discounting the latter.
I was simply suggesting that comparing Foles to Cutler is crazy and wrong. |

It's the battle cry for McCoy apologist everywhere. Still the real base of the comparison between McCoy and Moore comes from this. Both were/are described as the following

Undersized
Hard working
Average arm strength if that
Extremely accurate
Great head for the game
Leaders
Winners,
Above Average Mobility
The only real difference between the two is one played at an established program in a spread-option offense while the other raised the profile of his school and played in a hybrid West Coast Offense. And it's no guarantee when it comes to how Moore is going to turn out as a pro but make no mistake the comparisons on how they look as prospects are valid. |

They're both undersized, they both played for big time schools (Boise won the fiesta bowl two years before Kellen joined the Broncos), they're both extremely accurate with average arm strength, and it ends there. *I'm not arguing with you, I'm just stating my case for why the people who like to tie these two together are just looking at their size and arm. |

Ironically enough I still want Moore but as I alluded to before only in a Matt Flynn sort of capacity where you draft an overlooked but talented guy as a fail safe for your earlier QB prospect. If anything you can possibly trade him down the line for a draft pick and turn a 5th or 6th round selection into a 2nd or 3rd round pick with proper coaching and enough flashes to entice other QB hungry teams. |

If he was 6'4, he'd be a top 5 pick. Yes i just said that. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
Who here would be fine with just drafting Kellen Moore?
I would, especially seeing how Tebow is playing and how 'he doesn't have the nfl arm or accuracy or arm strength to play in the NFL.' Moore's weakness is having too weak of an arm. His height isn't a problem since brees is the same height.
If this happens I'm unplugging the internet. He's Colt Brennan 2.0 and I can't take the Mob of Moore whining at every snap. |

Agreed. No one here is suggesting that Foles does not have the arm to make it in the NFL. But to compare him with Cutler, who undeniably has a cannon, is unrealistic. |

I understand why you draw that comparison, but no man Kellen Moore is a gamer. |

Colt, like Kellen have a few similarities; -They both played in the WAC for at least 3 years -Both are not the protypical build the NFL looks for -Both don't have the strong arms the nfl seeks -Both are accurate however; Kellen played in a more nfl based WC offense with some college tendencies. Colt played in a Texas Tech spread pass happy offense. And thats where the similarities end. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
I would love love love it if we drafted Kellen Moore....in the 5th round to be our 3rd stringer after we've added a stud rookie in the 1st or 2nd and brought in a veteran as the new #2

interesting questions about Kellen and RG3 and us. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
If we get someone we want in the 2nd-3rd like, well not everyone wants him but, Nick Foles.. i wouldnt mind drafting Moore in the 6th or so.. keep Rex around also..
im just not convinced we move up to get a top qb or that one falls to us... now Paying Matt Flynn might happen IMO.. PLEASE dont give away the farm for effing Sam Bradford, please. |
