We ran over a 100 yds today with him starting. He couldn't have been that bad. He protected Grossman much better than TW. |

yeah, like when the DLineman used him as a ragdoll and pushed him right into and on top of grossman. great. he's a backup. our OL couldn't pass pro for ish today. |
Re: 2012 redskins
If the Redskins can't land Andrew Luck or RG3 in the draft, where do they look then? Free agency? Is Matt Flynn really the answer? Although Flynn is supposed to be the best QB free agent, he's seen limited action. He really hasn't played a lot because he's a back up. Would anyone here approve of Mike Shanahan bringing Jason Campbell back? Campbell, although he has tons of baggage, would be better than Grossman or Beck. Campbell would be a upgrade over both of those bums.
I'd rather bet on flynn than campbell. we know campbell is, at best, a slight improvement. |

Something I've been saying since the beginning of the year and even dating back to last year. As the season goes on and the more chemistry developed by the O-Line the better the running game. |
Re: 2012 redskins
How did he play terrible today? He only gave up one sack against Trent Cole.
If you watched the game you would see that he was being used like a bowling ball. Rex sucks, but he did a great job of getting the ball out, but he sucked more than normal, because he was throwing of his back foot the whole game. |
Re: 2012 redskins
The iggles have a good pass rush. I thought the o-line wasn't bad, but Rex was hurried a fair bit. One thing about old Rex--mobile he ain't.
Obviously, this isn't the starting o-line we want. Trent is far better than Willie. But the nice thing to see is that the running game is beginning to go, no matter who we have in there. This is key to Shanny's system. Now we need depth (and health... and put down that doobie...) and a few more serious bodies on the o-line and a real QB. |
Re: 2012 redskins
if we get trent back and sign/draft 1 guy, we'll be decent at OL, sign/draft 2 guys and we'll be good. (RG/RT). bouncing 3 of these "starters" back to depth (and dumping brown) would leave me pretty happy.

Just curious what people think about getting Stevie Johnson, if the Bills let him walk. I wouldn't mind seeing him along with Hank as our top WRs next season. McCardell would need to control his TD celebration antics, but I think this is minor compared to a diva like DJax.

He seems to suffer from the dropsies far too often for me. |

what's the price? he's a good WR, but he's not blackmon or CJ, and I'd prefer a difference maker. |

Did you see his second game against Revis? 8 catches and a td. Not many people put up those numbers on Revis. It looked even more impressive when you saw him create separation. He is certainly worth trying to sign but I doubt the Bills let him go. |
Re: 2012 redskins
Ok, I saw this on another site (Boo) but it was fun to look at. Every year we get excited for the next year and when that year arrives we seem to get let down. So, in normal fashon let the excitement begin again... lol.

After watching the Eagles game, I think I missed that Tyler Polumbus played very well in the run and in the pass. We was on Babin for most of the game and did fairely well.
I'd rather bet on flynn than campbell. we know campbell is, at best, a slight improvement.
Flynn seems like a huge money dump though. It seems more preferable to pay for future performance you can value from a guy like Chad Henne, Jason Campbell, Kyle Orton, David Garrard or even Vince Young. I think we're wise enough to know that throwing money at a problem doesn't do anything to solve it.
The thing with Flynn is that once you get him by outbidding more WCO based teams like Seattle and Cleveland, where do you set the expectations? If slight improvement isn't what we're looking for, why did we go after a backup? If you set the expectations at the level of the contract you signed him to, I think he will struggle to meet those expectations. |

Of course, even if we get our Torry Holt in the draft, and already have our Orlando Pace and Grant Withstrom, I'm not sure where we are getting our Isaac Bruce, Marshall Faulk, or Kurt Warner from. |
