Give me Maye, Daniels, Williams, Harrison Jr., Alt, or Fashanu, and I will be happy. Some picks will make me happier than others. But I would have 0 complaints coming out of the draft w/ any of these guys.

Also, if we don't go QB in round 1 and Penix is still available in round 2, I'm taking him.
I tend to agree with you, although I am not sold on taking Daniels in the top 5. Maye, Williams, Harrison Jr., Fashanu, Alt - probably in that order for me. If we come out of round 1 with one of those cats, I'd be good with that.

Really, it's all going to boil down to what the new regime thinks about Sam.
Williams has been the sure-fire top pick in this draft for a long time, and there's a very real chance a team tries to leapfrog the Commanders and trade up with the Bears and/or Cardinals in order to possibly select him, but Washington is potentially in prime position to take the cake.

Williams ditched Oklahoma. Why you so loyal to this guy?

Yeah, Daniels is going to be boom or bust. You, me, and everyone else is going to be totally right or wrong, one opinion or the other.

I just don't see how Howell can be the answer for next year. He's been benched 2 weeks in a row, and 2 weeks in a row Brissett has immediately came in and scored. Our OL is absolutely garbage. But Howell is also now absolutely part of the problem as well imo.

I'm taking my swing with Williams, Maye, or Daniels. And really I hope it's Maye or Daniels.

Howell is camp competition for whoever is drafted and also an excellent backup. He certainly won't be the only option for whatever FO/HC duo comes in.

Who cares? Joe Burrow left Ohio State, he made a decision that he felt was best for him and got a Heisman out of it.

Not advocating for Williams, however I would not hold it against him with his decision to go to USC. He made a lot more in NIL there then he would have at OU.

If a QB ditched FSU to play somewhere else, I'd be jaded as fuck to draft that guy. Maybe he's just a better man than me.

Note - Has nothing to do with Williams transferring in general. skinsfaninok is a Sooners fan, so I can't believe how loyal he is to him.

I'm curious to know why folks out there do not think Penix is worthy of being drafted top 3, 4 or 5 but Caleb is?

For the pro game I feel Penix checks almost every box where Caleb does not.

Bo Nix is a hard pass for 1st round. He is a 4th or 5th round type of guy.n

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

It all comes down to a GM who can find the guy; every year the media has two "darlings" that they think are the two best QB prospects; so they have something to write about during the slow season of the NFL (SB to Draft, time frame)

Go through this list and eyeball good QBs on it must are drafted middle to late first round or even later rounds very few of the media darlings hit in the long run

On a side note i also thing a lot of the top prospects go to dysfunctional franchises and just die there; imagine if Bryce Young was drafted by SF

I find it funny that some fans want Caleb Williams as our future QB, he’s built just like Howell, meaning he’s on the shorter side. The media and fans have bitched in the past about players like Haskins and CY who are from the area and it would not be good to play in the area they grew up. I guess this would also apply to Williams or does he get a pass?

Sam Howell is not close to being the passer Caleb is though. Caleb Williams is underrated as a Passer due to his crazy plays he makes but when you see him on film from the pocket he’s very accurate. Kid is special guys, yes he’s weird but who gives a shit

He's immature and a momma's boy, a bad recipe. Haskins part 2

Talent wise it’s not even close though. But unless we move up to 1 or 2 we ain’t getting Williams anyway

I discounted SF’s opinions years ago; reading the pop ADs on here is a better use of your time
