I won't wait up.
You don’t think SNL made fun of Obama at all? Just google SNL mocks Obama. As far as false narratives FOX News had that covered more than well enough. |

If you are accepting that CNN has become a politicized opinion based news channel, then fine, that is the basic premise behind this whole thread, that what used to be JOURNALISTIC institutions are now part and parcel of the political hack system of media. |
Re: Media Bias
Does it need to be spelled out why Trump is mocked in a different way than Obama was by SNL?

It's not just Trump vs Obama, it's liberal vs conservative, look at the one called theRock Obama. The republican group is treated as dork/no nothing idiots over their stance on Israel policy vs Obama as the Hulk/Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Or the Boehner Obama compromise clip. Again, Boehner looks like a moron, and Obama looks like a parent who has to be kind to the slow kid. It is the same across the media spectrum and across the span of recent history. Pretty sure you can find similar clips of Bush/Gore, Clinton/Gingrich, etc. That is why the thread is called media bias. It doesn't bother you because it aligns with your world view. It bothers the bejebus out of me that it's so blatant, and treated like it doesn't happen. |

I thought liberals were the snowflakes?

Are you talking News programs(mostly OpED piece's) or Nightly News shows, there is a difference. SNL is a comedy show that has made fun of all Presidents since it's inception and should not be in the mix of the conversation.Political satire is not a news show and can be as biased as they want. Seems to me they have gone after everyone they could have, https://parade.com/511388/michelewojciechowski/40-years-of-saturday-night-live-presidential-parodies/ https://www.theodysseyonline.com/saturday-night-live-presidential-2008-2016 |

Its that some people are such blatant assholes that they deserve to be made fun of. The bigger an Asshole the more fun to be made. |

Sometimes, but snowflakes are people who either abide by a faux-outrage social media driven culture where overly sensitive people appears to offended by the smallest stimulus, or they proactively seekout to find a negative in any action or behavior. Words and pictures hurt. In their world, a one second snapshot explains everything because they can contextualize it to whatever every they want. Or they believe in a pc driven culture where everyone and everything fits a certain role...if something, someone, or some idea doesn’t fit that norm it’s easily dismissed as incorrect. They tend to go with the crowd. Independent freedom or thought...is not accepted. Echo chambers are their safe place. This isn’t just millennials. |
Re: Media Bias
Well, worrying about what SNL does comes across as snowflake behavior to me. Just saying.

Right, we're the snowflakes, what with the constant bitching about feeling attacked for our beliefs, or being hyper-sensitive about gun rights every time another white guy decides to shoot up a crowd, or even being scared to admit you're pro-Trump because you fear the backlash. I've got a coworker who literally thinks Christians face more persecution than Muslims in this country. I mean seriously? |
