Re: Redskins free agent signings 2018
If the BPA that fills a need had a 2nd or 3rd grade then trade back
What position group are we good on?
I wouldn't draft another DE or OLB or even ILB high this year.
If the Skins decide not to go NT then trade back last first early 2nd and then go RB G CB if that is how they grade out. Sent from my SM-G955W using Tapatalk |

In fact, we were 29th in DVOA against the run: https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamdef There were only 3 teams worse than us. We need top shelf talent at all positions in our front 7. |

Plus throw in all of the QB desperate teams that WILL reach for a player that is not worthy. Plus we already have our QB. The stars are aligning that at #13 there will be higher BPA value, not lower as you claim. |

Hankins would be a great signing

I try to stay level-headed in the off season and not get my hopes up but I'd reallllllllly like to see us nab Hankins. |
Well Moreau hasn't really played yet, Norman and Swearinger were healthy for the majority of the season last year. I feel we will sign DRC, getting Allen and Ionnadis healthy will help the secondary as well.
Agreed. Moreau was a rookie, can't expect him to show consistent starter play in his first season. I like the fact that they have confidence in him. He's a 2 round pick. I would have kept Breeland especially at 8M/y (and maybe his infection ends up making him sign here for a lot less), but Moreau was drafted to start. Except a veteran on a cheap deal, I wouldn't sign any DBs. We have a strong group. And a healthy DL, improved by either a signing or a pick, will help our D overall. Any thoughts on a guard we could sign? Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |

Any thoughts on a guard we could sign?
Based on Redskins's activities; my best guess is they are monitoring Lauvao's situation, potential cuts by other teams and draft. I don't expect us to sign best available guard in free agency. In the end, I think they will resign Lauvao to 1-2 years contract and draft a guard (any round) to compete in training camp. |

I feel it's a position you can expect decent play from year one.
Why aren't they kicking the tires on any of the safeties left out there? Reid (well maybe I know for him) & Boston seem like good options. Can neither play slot? Any talented depth would go a long way for this unit because it's an injury or two away from being a liability.
I'm curious to see how things play out with Sua. If he stayed where would he best fit? Is he too slow for slot? Does he replace ZB on passing downs? If he's committed he could definitely help this defense, but if somehow they get a 3rd for him that will definitely help. We may even be able to fill the home in the secondary. Also we have Fish Smithson, I think he can develop into dependable back-up. I won't be surprised if we will draft one player and/or sign undrafted free agents after the draft to compete. Cravens - if we keep him, I'm certain he will make positive impact on defense every time we put him on the field. He is talented, simple as that. |
