Re: Free Agency/Franchise Tag thread 2011
On average Los should get around 4 mil a year with a 15 mil signing bonus based off his play IMO. His asking price, if true... is nutts! If he gets it somewhere, best of luck to him because we could get a better corner at that asking price.
Would be sad if he left after wanting to stay. 24 mil bonus is way too much, I was thinking about 15 at most.
Maybe the difference will be that Dock got his $18 mil. from Buffalo, but does anyone really see Los getting $24 mil in this market? Or even 20ish? I haven't taken a look at the list of free agent CBs other than Asomougha & Taylor, but I think the market in general will be too flooded & cautious for a lot of huge signings.
When Dock got his contract with Buffalo there was a run on the bank for Guards. These days we have cornerback being the hot position, with "Revis island" and Charles Woodson winning defensive player of the year in 2009 while playing a major part in the Pack's Super Bowl run this past year. Not saying that Rogers will be held up in the same esteem as those two but I feel like now more then recent years teams are willing to overpay for Corners. |

Seriously:
AdamSchefter Reports are true -- it's a blast from the past. One hour ago, former Giants RB Tiki Barber filed papers to come out of retirement. 7 minutes ago |

Re: Free Agency/Franchise Tag thread 2011
He will be 36 in April. 36 is not a good age for running backs.

Re: Free Agency/Franchise Tag thread 2011
Maybe but just because the players become FA's how many will find teams? How could any team write a Nnamdi type contract, not having any available structure to write it up under?
