G1 I disagree, if you think urban voters are gonna vote for a guy who endorses stop-and-frisk you're wrong. They would rather not vote at all than vote for a guy who is so out-of-touch with minorities. |

Before I forget to respond to this, I'm not in favor of the free-beer-for-all model, I just wish everyone (especially the top 1%) had to give away 25% of their yearly beers the way I have to give away 25% of my yearly beers. |

Media on all sides is bias.
The local news, Richmond area pretty much just reports the news without leaning one way or the other. Other than that I totally agree with you. It is getting out of hand. You can even see a lot of political propaganda in regular old television shows. |

Morning Bob ... yeah local news seems to be more local and not trying to jump into the deep end of political bias reporting. Im sure some people will point out Sinclair broadcasting, which owns runs a lot of local news, has instructed their local news anchors with trump talking points for them to recite on air. ----- Sinclair Media Group, one of the largest local TV station owners, is reportedly requiring its anchors to read promotional messages on air that many are calling “pro-Trump propaganda.” The script, which is required to be read during news time rather than using up commercial spots, includes anchors saying they’re “extremely proud of the quality, balanced journalism that [proper news brand name of local station] produces.” The anchors are then supposed to follow by saying, “But I’m [we are] concerned about the troubling trend of irresponsible, one-sided news stories plaguing our country.” https://fortune.com/2018/03/08/sinclair-media-group-fake-news/ --------- I try and read any "news" source from anyone, Fox to Al Jazeera to Jerusalem Post to reddit ... take it all with a huge grain of salt and decide for myself what I believe and dont believe. |

Trump voters eyes = its only the liberal media lying far left = its only fox news lying most of us = they all do it and we take what they say accordingly No, im not going to play tennis here and go post for post with examples of fox news/breitbart bias for every post of msnbc/cnn bias. For good points you do make, im having trouble finding them or giving them weight because most of what you post is gaslighting. you have a 100% right to think and say what you want .... but dude, if you dont think you are extreme ... youre impassioned. impassioned is a better word than extreme. extreme is an attacking word. youve never attacked me and sometimes i make lil snide childish comments to you and i hate when i do that. i feel like an asshole .. bc i was acting like an asshole. youre much better than me in maintaining common decency and discourse |

It was on all the local news stations nightly for a couple weeks. The beef was over who should be in charge during large incidents when both agencies responded. I was privy to inside info as I knew a lot of fireman and cops that went to a large fitness center I worked out at a couple hours a day 6 days a week. The news coverage was heavily slanted toward the cops, making the fireman look like the bad guys. The exact opposite was true, the police were really trying to over step their bounds and interfered with the fireman trying to do their jobs. I figured it was do to the "they have to drive on my roads" motto a lot of cops had. Simple fear of the police. |

Re: Media Bias
I think the media has more of a habit to tell just one side of the story than flat out lie. Also a lot of mistakes are made trying to rush to be the first to break a story or provide information on an ongoing one.
My favorite gaffe was the Asiana flight 214 when they read the names of those in the cockpit. Captain Sum Ting Wong. I was like "Are you kidding me?" I thought it was a bad joke. How someone didn't catch that ridiculous screw up is beyond me. |

How someone didn't catch that ridiculous screw up is beyond me.
I think its correct to delineate between these but understand, they are weaving narratives to tell the viewer what they should believe and not laying facts out to let the viewer make there own decision. A great example yesterday and today are the pieces on Elizabeth Warren...instead of pointing out why loss (lying multiple times about major stories within her life, positions that changed, inability to chose a lane, internal campaign "tokenism" combined with her fake wokeness pandering bullshit, her finger-wagging Elitist holier-than-thou-attitude, etc)………. you will a narrative of sexism and misogyny as the reason she lost. THIS IS UTTER BULLSHIT. The exit polling proves this to a T (Biden won women in her OWN home state). Also Hillary just won the popular vote in a Presidential run. There is no evidence of sexism and there hasn't been, but yet multiple articles and pundits IMMEDIATELY go to this reason. Don't buy it, its fake news. Instead she should own it. |

I don’t really care that much. Media massages their messages. Fox News does it, cnn does it .... I just don’t get all angry when fox does it as some shining example of how horrible and lying conservatives are. Because both sides do it so it would be a good bit hypocritical of me to get all upset at Fox News doing it while ignoring the liberal media doing it. |

Do you think Fox News doesn’t do media bias?
If that’s Minnesota and they are saying that’s Seattle, then yeah that’s a great example of dishonest, biased reporting imo. I think the way Fox presents some stories, yes def some biased...especially in the morning show, the five and of course the night opinion shows. But I think their 2 lead news reporters Harris Faulkner and Brett Baier do a really good job being more balanced In reporting than both NBC And CBS news whether its the morning shows and nightly news. ABC news seems to be the least biased in their nightly news, but not in the morning with that liberal lying hack George stephacrapolis. |

Re: Media Bias
I have no doubt that the black officer was having a conversation with a black protestor and a white SJW ran up and told her to not talk with him and duck the police. I imagine some of these "woke" white people are so consumed in "us v them" that they have lost their compass.
You remember that south park episode were Kyle's dad uses the n word on wheel of fortune and Kyle spends the episode trying to prove to token he gets it. Finally Kyle realizes as a white person he doesn't get it and never will. That's my thoughts, id never try to define racism or try to emphasize bc as a white guy I cant, can't even begin. All I can do is listen, support, analyze my own micro racism that I may consciously or unconsciously display and be a silent supporter. Some of these ultra woke white people need to perhaps step back and take an honest accounting of their goals. Telling a black woman to not talk with a black officer bc he is an officer is tunnel visioned in what that particularl white woman wants from blm and not realizing the black protestor may have different goals then anarchy and fuck them all. With all that said, this officer and the Trump supporting black commentator are taking one anecdotal incident to try and stretch it as a truth for all protestors. The commentators comment that the white protestor are being out in place by higher powers for the end goal of communism and Marxism show me that this is another right wing conspiracy theory guy and really left me walking away not giving his thoughts much credit bc I discredit the whole shadow powers want to bring communism argument |
