Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
Lamar is 26 YO and has never had WRs like we do.. It could be a good combo but right now with Ownership change coming, I don't see him coming to DC

I don't know if the sale would stop us from getting whom ever, if new ownership wants a certain person. Look at Denver they made some big splashes last off season and ownership changed hands. I don't think the sale is like for when us "little" people buy a house i believe they realize this business is 24/7 so the new owner can start pulling strings prior to the official sale date. For example if the new owner wants to change the name, i wouldn't be surprised if they are going to the league office and are like hey this possible or am i stuck with Commanders; all prior to the sale. |
We could run the most boring offense in the history of football for all I care if it resulted in winning games at the same clip Baltimore does.
I have watched a lot of Ravens football, its the local feed. I am telling you they are one the luckiest teams in the sports. Those records you posted they could have easily swung the other way to losing seasons, they also tend to have extremely easy schedules. One factor that gets over looked at BAL offense (as far as points) and he saves their asses way more then Lamar, is Justin Tucker. He literary should be the Ravens MVP every year. God do I hate his commercials for Royal Farms; his new one where they have him like a kid in the back seat of the car; serious gear grinding. |

Also, AFC North has always been a very competitive division and the AFC in general has been more competitive over the past 5-10 years, than the NFC. |

More OC candidates:
@john_keim As @NickiJhabvala reported the Commanders have sought permission to talk to 49ers Asst HC/RB coach Anthony Lynn, according to source. A formal request will be made after the 49ers game Sunday, per source, so focus remains on their game. |

I'm sure it would have been nice to have kept Cousins or draft Burrow, but I'm sure Dan would have found a way to eff things up. This is why I can't wait for him to be gone. |

If we had gotten burrows we probably have more wins, most likely yes. That would have kept DS in power if you are winning nothing else matters, the losing it draws DS out of his snake hole and in too the sunlight. |
Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- The New York Jets ended their two-week search for an offensive coordinator, hiring former Denver Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett on Thursday -- a move that will fuel speculation about a potential Aaron Rodgers trade.
Hackett, who replaces Mike LaFleur, served as the Green Bay Packers' offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2021 and developed a good relationship with Rodgers, whose future in Green Bay appears uncertain. The Jets are expected to be in the market for a veteran quarterback. Coach Robert Saleh interviewed seven known candidates for the position, opting for a veteran coach with extensive playcalling experience and someone he knows well. They worked together on the Jacksonville Jaguars' staff in 2015 and 2016. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35531136/jets-hire-former-broncos-coach-nathaniel-hackett-new-oc |
