If there's going to be an "other" who gets the game ball...what a game by Lorenzo Alexander today
Oh god yes! Guy was lights out. |
Re: Ravens at Redskins Post Game Thread (RG3 MRI Result-Sprained Knee)
Pretty much spot on.
I was yelling at the TV with RGIII holding the ball so long on the sacks he took. He's a rookie, and I thought he played like one today. If one would look at the mere stats alone, you'd think he had a hell of a game. The reality of it is that he put up yardage, but he was 2-10 on 3rd down conversions today. He and the offensive unit got really no points off 2 turnovers provided by the defense. I think he played a shitty game besides the first quarter and a half to be honest. Said it before, the game isn't won on how many yards you accumulate, it's won by sustaining drives and scoring. Our 3rd down conversion isis horrible, and he was 3-10 for the game. (Kurt was 1-1) All that said, if this is a shitty game by RGIII, I'll take it over a John Beck shitty game, or a Rex Grossman shitty day. RGIII's off games are better than most QB's good days.
Man those six points were crucial in the game. Better than not converting either or only one. With two TDs we win going away and RG III doesn't get hurt trying to make a big play down with under two minutes to play. |
I'm curious to see the All 22 and see if the receivers really weren't getting open, and if that's why he held on to the ball so much
Very well could be. The field was no doubt wet, and it could have played a part in their breaks. If anybody watches this in All 22, please report back. Thanks. :) |

When I made the statement that he and the offensive basically got no points, that was in reference to them scoring any TDs off of it. I was giving the 6 points to the special teams. :P Need to capitalize on turnovers and on 3d downs. Not going to win much if we continue this trend. I agree with you overall in that those 6 points were crucial to this game. Probably why Kobra Kai walked out of the locker room with the game ball. |
It was actually an "off schedule play" Garçon saw his man peak ( garçon was running an in pattern ) when he saw him peak he called for the ball with his hand raised to the end zone. Cousins saw him and floated it in there.
The play call on the 2 point conversion was genius.
I meant the touch on his pass. |
Re: Ravens at Redskins Post Game Thread (RG3 MRI Result-Sprained Knee)
I didn't actually see the game (didn't seem important) but I voted for Lo' anyway......
Not sure how much longer he'll be able to play with the....Hits he delivers. Shanahans are holding him back anyway.... |
We're actually the same person. LL...SS...eh?! eh?!!
Seriously though, for web-based Redskins insiders you're not likely to find a better one than LL. He's much more in tune with the current Redskins than I have been for a long time. We often get similar info, but from different angles.
Players and players wives. ;) |

Looks like he was able to turn his leg just enough to get it sideways. Still amazing it was able to bend this far without ligament tear. Incredible athlete! |
Coming in I thought it was a bad matchup. The Ravens power run game can be dominate when they set their minds to running the ball. Still, I thought we adjusted well enough in the 2nd half.
I had to listen on the radio. It seemed like Rice was out for some extended periods of time. If he wasnt hurt was that just a gift ? Nothing against Pierce but it seemed like Rice didnt shoulder the load like he usually does. Hard to tell when you are running in and out of your daughters dance recital and listening on the radio. |

Dang bro, I was thinking the same thing! |
Re: Ravens at Redskins Post Game Thread (RG3 MRI Result-Sprained Knee)
I mean in all honesty what could have or should do different to prevent that hit? I was not able to see it.

The Ravens sometimes spell Rice for long periods of time without any typical rhyme or reason, but he did have 20 carries today. |
