Wasn't Brees a second rounder? Or late first? Either way, he's going into the hall of fame and wasn't the first QB taken in the draft. San Diego even gave up on him and drafted Rivers. Dumbasses!
I'll never forget the day we lost the Drew Brews sweepstakes to New Orleans. Oh wait, we never even tried. I forgot.
HUGE Mistake by the front office that year. If we went back and looked at it, I am sure we spent a ton of money on FAs that didnt work out anyway. Great job Vinny! |

If I recall only two teams showed serious interest in Brees because of his shoulder.

Yeah Miami and NO. Everyone else had serious concerns about his shoulder. Even Miami ended up passing and went for Culpepper instead. |

Yeah thats what we all heard was the Dolphins and Saints. It's just kind of a shock now that not more were interested in him.

It won't be landry jones; he's staying at OU

I think it's Jones or Tannehill, possibly in a trade down. Maybe with Arizona who may be eyeing Trent Richardson Though I spoke with someone (with knowledge) today who thinks we're going Foles in round 2 and WR in round 1 (possibly through a trade down). But he's just guessing as much as I am
IF that materialized, I'd be fine with Blackmon. |
Idk I think Sanchez is a little better than Rex but then again they both are bad

That's like asking which is better, death by drowning or burning alive... |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
Barring any trades, the top 5 players who at this point will be taken ahead of us are:
Luck Kalil Blackmon Griffin Richardson We're at 6. Luck will be gone. Not sure we'd be in the market for Kalil or Richardson. If Blackmon or Griffin are gone by 6, I see a possible trade here. Really, the only team ahead of us that might draft a QB is Cleveland (other than Indi). If Griffin is there, he's gone, I would think. As far as teams that need a QB bad enough to try for Luck or RGIII: Miami, KC, Sea, Denver (maybe), Was, Cleveland With limited suitors I'm not sure Indi will get 3 #1's. |
Re: And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........
Three number ones may be what it takes for Indy to give up the pick in the first place.
If Indy wants Luck, then it may take 3 #1s just to get them to move off the pick. All of these hypotheses are completely mute if Indy wants this guy or any other player in the draft bad enough. |

Trade 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 1 third, Jamaal Brown, DHall, Santana to Indy for the first pick. If they don't accept it add in Orakpo. If they don't accept that then f*ck em! We'll take..I dunno who.
