Re: NFCC POSTGAME
Yesterday sucked but we knew our weaknesses and Philly exploited every single one of them. Plus, the turnovers. That was too much to overcome. Hey, we got to nfc championship game; with our ragtag bunch. It’s simple; we just don’t have the talent yet.
This season is our best in the Post Gibbs 1 era. That’s 1993 to 2024. A long time. Our 1st season over 10 wins, since the 1991 Superbowl run. Our first time winning in the playoffs since 2005. We went 2-1 in the playoffs and won 2 road playoff games for the first time ever. We learned that Saint Gibbs save us, by convincing Dan to go thru with the sale. We heard Dan was miserable with our success this year. Finally, we found our franchise QB. Our first true franchise QB since Sammy Baugh. All that in a rookie year. Once we get all the pieces, this team will be real dangerous. We can have a 10 year run and soon, we’ll be able to dish out the pain, that was done to us yesterday. We are disappointed about yesterday, after a loss like that. We are proud about our unexpected season and for the first time in a long time; we have hope. That hope, lessens the sting about yesterday. They are teams that make runs to the championship game but then disappear. That’s not us. We aren’t disappearing. I believe we are about to go on a nice run; where people will get sick of us, like they are at the Chiefs. After 30 years, I’ll take that. Let the rest of the nfl hate us, because we are winning Superbowls. |

Yes to the above posts. Only reservation I have about this hopeful scenario is wondering whether Lattimore is “the right kind of player” (apart from any injury or skills concerns).

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lattimore did not play very well. But he isn't old, was injured and with a new team. Still think we need to draft another young CB or 2 but gonna just start my opinion fresh with him in 2025. Hopefully they can find a magic system to sustain his hamstrings. But Juste has to be replaced with a guy that can consistently play in the event Lattimore is out. I think Noah I. is a FA, so probably will need to add a slot corner too. |

Very likely this will be the worst roster we'll have for the foreseeable future. |

IF you are a Bills, Lions or Ravens fan you are way sadder then us this morning
their expectations were much higher i really enjoyed this year and i am so happy JD5 wasn't injured yesterday, we retool and next year should be a fun watch! Fuck just being competitive is all i really care about Game notes: Lattimore on big receivers you got come up with a different plan the 3 turnovers just snapped us in half Need OL RB WR and alot D help this offseason |

The refs do help them at times. Everyone isn't talking about the recent Pats' dynasty with Spygate and Deflategate though. Just want Philly to lose.

Re: NFCC POSTGAME
There's what you can take from the game vs what you can take away from the season. From the game:
1) no matter how good you are, turnovers can always undo you (Eagles), or they can lead you to upset an opponent better than you (Lions). DQ rightly focuses on takeaways/giveaways. 2) the defense made tremendous strides but the edges are a problem. They can't win on their own often enough, leading to Whitt being forced to send pressure. And they can't set the edge well enough, leading to Bobby and Luvu getting washed out vs Saquon. But from the season: 1) QB is answered 2) coaching staff is answered 3) One of the best draft classes we've had in years points to Peters & team being on the right track 4) $90M in cap space 5) our window is open What a year. Thank you Commanders! |

Can't believe we have to root for KC to win another SB. It's the lesser of the two evils by far, still sucks though. |
Re: NFCC POSTGAME
Yesterday’s silver lining is we clearly see the difference in our roster compared to a roster Super Bowl ready. We overachieved big time with all the wins in the last possessions. Great job installing a good culture. Now we need to upgrade roster. Both lines are the priority to me. Couldn’t run the ball. Our dline got pushed around all season. Start there

Pats in Patrick’s first year starting and Joe with the Bengals. If the Bengals can stop starting slow and remain healthy; they might be the only team right now. Time will tell if Chargers and Broncos can do that, in the future. Chiefs have only faced 3 teams in the Superbowl. 49ers twice and won. Eagles twice and won the first one. Will they beat them again this time? The Bucs once, where the lost. It might take us, to beat them in the Superbowl; if the afc can’t prevent them. |

KK and JD5 carried this offense all year, it showed how special JD is to even have us in that situation |

Completely unacceptable most of season. I’d also say a rebuild in our running game and not relying constantly on JD5. |
NFCC POSTGAME
Its all about the trenches. We can add a flashy wr-2 or rb or playmaking te down the road, but JD-5 is more than capable with the playmakers we have now IF HE HAS MORE TIME AND A RUN GAME.
On the D side stopping the run is priority one, but secondary is a close second. In other words, this off season should be all about the trenches with a heavy dash of secondary. Later on we go get a Saquon type to completely put us over the top. Can you imagine the Eagles with JD-5 at quarterback? Because that is what I envision us becoming! It is crucial also that Lattimore is better and smarter than he appears to be. Otherwise that heavy dash of secondary becomes as important as the run stopping. If you fix up front and in back of Luvu and let him just lurk around our D would be pretty great. Unlike the past 30 years, all of these fixes become doable because we have the most important position all squared away. Im already excited about the off season. |
Re: NFCC POSTGAME
Great season yall. 55 pts and 7 rushing tds is an absolute embarrassment. You also can't fumble 3 times and expect to be in the game. We got lucky last match with them.
Cheers to next year. |
It was 34-23, with us having the ball in good field position. Then Ekeler fumbled and the game went all down-hill. Man, would love to watch that game playout if Ekeler just stayed on the ground and took the 1-yard gain.
Jayden will be even better next year and the roster should be too. Peters has a chance to make us a top-5 team next season if he can strike some more gold.
Also Brown early on fought across the field before losing the ball. They will get better through this loss. (I am sure they need time, what a heartbreaking ending) Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk |

Sent from my SM-S711U using Tapatalk
It’s hard for me to pinpoint where the failing is on run D. Obviously a younger Wagner type would help a lot. Is it possible that our DBs aren’t reacting to the run fast enough? Do our linemen get tied up too quickly, pressing into blocks rather than fighting them off with better hand technique? Do we need one true monster to draw double/triple teams, freeing up other B+ players? How much is coaching/scheming? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes to the fact that we need a true edge rusher to tie ppl up... Payne being out definitely didn't help but also he's not setting the edge on that first td. It does leave more questions than answers imo like you're saying... I also hope they figure it out. |
Re: NFCC POSTGAME
very simple we don't have enough elite talent to make up for mistake after mistake .. the reason we got this far was a ELITE QB ! We had to play mistake free to have a shot. We will have a better roster next year and no reason we can't get back to playoffs . I'm very optimistic

Allen is gone for sure. But if you are ever looking for talent in Free agency for interior Dline, this is a good year for it. The contract of Panye is unmovable. You could see from them basically bring guys from off the street to play DT they want a different talent there. And yeah, they don’t have DE that set the edge. They actually rotated Payne out to DE to try it at the end of the year. |

Re: NFCC POSTGAME
Where to start?
Game thoughts - every single time we got it within one score someone on our team fumbled. You can't win regular games like that, let alone the NFCCG. Eagles hit all of our weak spots and the turnovers put it out of reach. Congrats to them. We knew what our weaknesses were going into it and that hasn't changed. This team still needs work. Season thoughts - there were so many highlights this year it's hard to name them all. First time in 20+ years watching I felt like this our staff milked every ounce of talent out of the entire roster. Yeah we didn't win them all but we learned what this team is capable of. And we finally solved the most important position on the roster. Thank you to DQ, AP, and everyone else who contributed to our first 12 win team since '91. It means a lot to those of us who watched our entire lives without seeing a team capable of beating the best. Thank you for putting a smackdown on the #1 seed Lions. Thank you for all the last second wins, and for not giving up when we lost 3 in a row. I think the NFCCG was a good barometer of how far we have come, and how far we have to go. This roster still needs a lot of work, but I have full faith in AP/DQ/etc to keep building on this year. And finally, I've said enough complimentary things about the Eagles. I'd rather watch Mahomes win 5 consecutive titles than to see the Eagles win another one. I hope they get humbled in two weeks. The one thing the Eagles do that I hope we copy this offseason - they have a good eye for unwanted good players on other teams. Zach Baun was a first team all pro and the Saints let him walk in FA last year. AJ Brown was discarded by the Titans and has kept up his stud WR status with the Eagles. Mekhi Becton was discarded by the Jets and solidified one of the tackle spots for the Eagles. It's gonna take too long to build this roster exclusively through the draft, I hope AP can find some hidden gems on other rosters that are available for the right price because our contending window is now open with JD at the helm. |

LOL, I understand that thought but Saquan finally admitted after the Giants tagged him a year ago he would never resign with NY. To add as good as he is he never had two seasons were he played all the games for the Giants and he never would have had the season he did behind the Giants O line. |
