Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
Defense woke the eff up today. They kept Kyler and MHJ contained, they let J. Connor run, but they were basically defending against the deep pass. Defense held the Cards to 14 points, sacked Kyler 4 times, and got a takeaway.
Offense keeps doing their thing, overcame mistakes, and dropped 42 points. We are now in sole possession of first place in the NFC East! |
Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
Overcoming offensive penalties was pretty impressive.

Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
still hard to believe it's real. If you don't have a QB, you're playing a different game.
Is Daniels really this damn good? Yeah, I think he is. He is exceeding expectations.
Yes. Kid is the complete package and a film junkie. We finally hit the jackpot. Kid is very special.

For the first time in my LIFE, I can say I'm confident we have a franchise QB that will be a top 5 QB for the next 10 years

Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
Right now I have 10/13 circled on my calendar. Our three wins came against 1-3 teams while the one loss came against a 3-1 team. I felt there was a lot to like in the game against the Bucs despite the loss and way more to like about the three wins. To me the most refreshing thing so far is beating teams we should beat, the simple things that quality coaching and QB play can do.

I just can’t bring myself to get excited about this kid,it just seems too good to be true! I keep waiting for the bottom to fall out.
He looks so poised and confident,he’s making it look easy and everyone seems to be feeding off of that |

Well, that was a proper ass kicking. Like all y'all, it's hard to believe. Just gonna enjoy it, knowing that we're just getting started.
Been a long time, fellas. |

I hope that the team has 10/6 circled on their calendar. This is the NFL. No gimmes. Cincy should have taken out KC and the Cards easily could have beaten Detroit and Buffalo. That win today was impressive as hell. Bring on the Browns. |

Any time you beat a team 42-14 on the road in the NFL w/ a rookie QB that is pretty damn impressive. I feel like this is a dream. |

He did the same thing at LSU so no one should be terribly surprised by this. Sure defenses will adjust some but nearly impossible to stop his skillset.

Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
IÂ’m watching the highlights this morning on YouTube and I gotta give props to the off line. I didnÂ’t really think about it watching the game yesterday but watching the highlights itÂ’s really standing out to me What a great job they did.
Daniels was rarely pressured when he dropped back and the running lanes were there also. There are a lot of game balls to go around,McNichols and ZACCHEAUS,2 players I donÂ’t even remember hearing of before this year, also looked awesome, the whole receiving corps played great. When youÂ’re executing this well itÂ’s hard to determine if itÂ’s great playcalling but everything Kingsbury is calling is working |

How nice was it to see Commander Fans for once taking over another team stadium.

Just read that we have more scoring drives (23) than incompletions (19) through 4 weeks. That’s just crazy.

Luvu plays like a possessed man out there. If I was a QB, I'd literally sh*t my pants if I saw him rushing towards me. |

The O/U next week is set at 43.5.

Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
My friends and I who love this team are in shocked disbelief -- which isn't to say that it will all be smooth sailing from here on out, of course, but I am trying to remember how long it has been since I genuinely looked forward to a game to see how well we could play and feeling realistic optimism that we could actually win. It's such an odd feeling, especially coming out of the depths of the crap season we had last year, which was one of the most depressing in my 50 years of fandom. I hope Jayden Daniels is bubble wrapped every moment he isn't on the field.

Re: Commanders vs. the Cards Gameday Thread
I was at the game. After first drive just the complete perfect game. Huge showing, at least 1/4 of crowd felt like Wash fans. Tons of Natives with old Redskin gear. 2 cowboy fans in section that got booed and fun banter every step up and down the aisle.

Forbes is now CB#2...I doubt if this will make a difference at this point.....he makes decent plays only a small amount of the time....
