He came in relief twice, let’s see what he would do a full game, my guess is no better with that OL.

I think he'd fare well, even if it were for a half. The point is he's shown he has a command of the offense and can move the ball, and I don't think the powers that be wanted to possibly risk a chance to win a game or two to finish out the season.

I'm terrified on every dropback. Howell simply cannot get the ball to WRs anymore.

If the powers that be are actually telling the coach to lose than we got Snyder part 2,.. if I knew this to be fact I would never pull for this team again.. I would like to believe if we lose it's because we suck NOT from owner telling coach ...

They just want to see Sam as much as possible. It has nothing to do with wins. Our season was already over. This is glorified training camp.

I agree ! Imagine being out there playing your heart out ( Allen,Payne,Robinson..etc) and find out the fix was in from the top .. and God forbid you got serious hurt .. think about what you would Do ..

I know the season is over, but why risk an opportunity for wins and ruin draft positioning with Brissett behind center.

They've seen enough of Howell, so no more auditioning is needed. They're also aware Howell likely won't win games the final two weeks. Status quo to finish out the season and maintain a top 4 pick.

They're not technically "fixing" games. They're aware Howell gives them little chance to win, whereas Brissett gives us a better opportunity to win the next few weeks, even if it's not publicly mentioned.

Brissett is not a guaranteed win. He is a below avg qb. SF would have exposed him for sure.

In 7 years in the NFL his best qb rating outside of the last 2 games, where he came in far behind and teams played soft, his best qbr was 89. His average completion rate was around 61%. The past 2 games were complete aberrations, and the best chance against this defense is he would have reverted to his norm.

Sam looks pretty good tho right now. Against a good team. This is why you play him. To see if we are taking a quarterback at 3 or a LT. It is a decision that is right around the corner.
