Re: Race for the NFC East
Jones will be fine but he shouldn't have played hurt last week. In that aspect they miss Eli. I'm excited about our Defense playing well but we still need some play makers at WR and TE the O line has improved but not by much, they still need work.
Jones problem is turn overs not injuries. |
Race for the NFC East
With Haskins at Qb we don’t win another game ...
Well fortunately the Eagles game is three weeks from now. So hopefully Alex is back. Because honestly imo we only need to win that game. No way Giants beat either team i saw last night and we can take care of the Eagles. If we do it don’t matter if Dallas wins out because we beat them twice. I feel much better after seeing that game last night. |

I don’t believe that, we won Sunday with Haskins at quarterback and he played better than Smith did, having said that I don’t believe we could beat Seattle with the healthy Smith or Haskins. One thing I have not seen anybody mention either on here or on the media is whether Smith’s injury in 49er’s Game is related to getting cleated in the Pittsburgh game with the bleeding? |

We don’t how his leg would respond long term after 17 surgeries. |

It’s not unbelievable to me because it’s the Redskins and the media usually ignores them, but we did just vault into 1st place and I’ve heard no updates on Smith, why he even left the game, who’s starting Sunday etc. |

Well I found update on Smith that xray was negative, just calf soreness, might play Sunday.Part of me wants him to play, the other part wants to see what Haskins can do. |

It's both but he was moving around to avoid the sacks . Colt had the same problem in his short time back there last week. |

Vegas has the FT at a 76% chance to finish 8-8.

One lingering fear i have is Alex doesn’t come back and DH needs to win a game. @ G one Jones is no Eli but i think he can remain relatively healthy. His turnovers are a much bigger issue imo. |

I would be shocked if the whole NFC East doesn't make upgrading their OL top priority next offseason. |

Chase and Sweat will be putting the fear of God in opposing offenses for years as long as Danny doesn’t fuck things up some how. It puts a little comfort back in my brain that our Defense can win field position battles, get turnovers, and apparently out score our offense on occasion to win the game but DH moving the ball 20 yards on any sort of consistent basis is a legitimate fear for the near future. Uggh. |
Re: Race for the NFC East
2 games left, and the WFT has the high road to winning the division. As was pointed out elsewhere - a win vs Carolina and NYG loss to the Ravens and the Skins clinch it. How sweet would that be for Rivera.
I also love the fact that the team is hanging tough even with an unsettled qb situation. It really bodes well for the future. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |
Re: Race for the NFC East
We're still in the driver's seat. We really only need one win to clinch since our division rivals all play each other and losses will happen for every team most likely. The only way that we blow this is for us to lose both remaining games and the Giants and Colt McCoy somehow win out, which includes beating the Ravens, or for Dallas to win out if we fail to win. The chances are slim.
We should beat the Panthers. The Eagles should also be a win but Jalen Hurts actually looks very good and I wish/hope we'd get to play Carson Wentz instead...so take care of business in the next game so we won't have to worry about the Philly game. The Eagles SHOULD beat the Cowboys next week...eliminating Dallas from the title chance. Even if Dallas wins out, if we finish with the same record, we should hold the tiebreaker since we beat them twice. Redskins 6-8 Panthers - W Eagles - possible W Cowgurls 5-9 Eagles - L Giants - possible W Vagiants - 5-9 Ravens - HUGE L Cowboys - possible L Philthy Birds 4-9-1 Cowboys - W Redskins - possible L So what we're rooting for - Skins win 2 games.no one can catch us then. If we win only 1 game, we'll want: *Eagles beat Cowboys *Cowboys beat Giants |
Re: Race for the NFC East
Im starting to feel nervous .. and I love it. Meaningful football in December? After our 1-5 start?
Seth Walder ESPN Analytics There is a 45% chance the Bucs will face Washington in the wild card round of the playoffs, per FPI. It's the most likely first-round matchup combination to occur. |

Re: Race for the NFC East
I honestly don't see a first round game that we wouldn't be capable of winning. Rams, Bucs, Seahawks, they'd all be tough games but we're not overmatched in any of them. Let's get there first of course.

HAHA, I'd love that. We can beat the Seahawks with Alex in a rematch...same with the Rams and Cardinals, both who started out strong and have struggled in the second half of the season. |
Re: Race for the NFC East
Tiebreakers for within a division:
1. Head to head; then 2. Best win % in division 3. Best win % in common games etc https://www.nfl.com/standings/tie-breaking-procedures We hold the tie breaker against the Eagles/Boys. Giants hold tie breaker over us. (sonovabitch) ------------------------------------------- So we win 2, were in no matter what. If we go 1-1, we miss out if the Giants go 2-0. If we go 0-2, we miss out if the Giants go 1-1 or the Boys/Eagles go 2-0. Somewhat sure this is right. |

He had 3 nice drives from the middle of the 3rd quarter till the end. Two of those drives resulted in TD’s the third almost did on the end zone pass to Thomas, it didn’t end well but that’s on the OL. Things that I saw that give me hope: He learned from his 1st half mistakes He took off running when no receivers were open If no receivers were open he threw the ball away Made some nice passes Was confident Did it against a tough opponent If he plays like that again, which I think he will if he given the chance, we just might have found some hope at QB. |
Re: Race for the NFC East
Coach Ron has to be extra motivated to make it to the playoffs by beating the team that fired him last year.

Re: Race for the NFC East
We are signing the insider trader Mychal Kendricks of the Seahawks PS. At one time he was a pretty good LB, let’s see what he brings. Will have him at least till January 12, his sentecing is January 13th.

I guess I would need to know what you define "it" as. He didnt look like complete crap, just because he cleared that low bar I dont think means he has gotten "it". We started the second half down 20-3. Went 4 play INT and then "3 n out" in our first 2 drives. I think with 5 mins left in the 3rd Q, Seahawks gave us the underneath stuff which we took and took. I think Seahawks adjusting their game given time/score has to be taken into account. But we cant overlook Haskins didnt look okay until we were down by 3 scores w 5 mins left in the 3rd. If this performance yesterday showed Haskins has "it" ... what does that mean for Jalen Hurts? Hes has HOF "it"? |
Re: Race for the NFC East
He's still making the same bad mistakes and decisions. That second INT was thrown towards three Seattle defenders with no chance of reaching his receiver.
Fumbles are still a problem too. Has be improved? It does look like it. Is he capable of being a franchise QB? Still NO. |

Re: Race for the NFC East
For me he showed more poise in that last qtr+ than he has in all of his games to date. Maybe it's the start of something. But I'm sceptical until I see more; Trubisky has had a few good games lately but nobody would be willing to make him their franchise QB on his resume.

I wish he'd start to see defensive players. |
Re: Race for the NFC East
My standard has always been you have to play whoever gives you the best chance to win until you're officially eliminated from the playoffs. Haskins 2nd half was very encouraging, but Smith is still our best chance. I want in. Hopefully Alex is a go.

Re: Race for the NFC East
We have to be very careful with Carolina, heck they almost beat The Packers, we win and the Giants lose we're in.

SDH to IR, injury not serious.
LB Shaun Dion Hamilton is going to be placed on injured reserve per source. Hurt his elbow Sunday. Not believed to be a serious injury. |
Re: Race for the NFC East
They say injury not serious and yet they put him on IR so won't be able to come back until the second round of the playoffs....

The Washington Football Team is signing veteran LB Mychal Kendricks off the #Seahawks practice squad, source said.
Nice signing here |
Re: Race for the NFC East
I love how Jalen Hurts has two awesome complete games his rookie season and is a product of nobody having film, and DH has two good drives after like 12 starts and we are onto something. Lol.
|
Re: Race for the NFC East
If we lose to a Panthers team that just fired their GM and is already eliminated from the Playoffs, we do no deserve to win the Division.

IMO I think the players have had this one circled all season. If there was a game they were going to win while their coaches battles for them while battling cancer it was this game. |

lololol It's funny how quickly the story can change in a day. We all have no fucking idea what it's like being inside the organization. We're just talking out of our ass based off what little snippets we see. |
