I fear it won't...they'll chalk it up to injuries. What needs to happen, is that the 5000 fans that ARE there on Sunday, all hold up signs saying "SNYDER PLEASE SELL OUR TEAM!!!"
DS will never sell this team. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Bruce Allen, Jay Gruden the entire coaching staff need to be revamped. Scot Mcloughan should have been the GM not Bruce. Dan isn't ever gonna sell the team, I dont know we are struggling bad with injuries/
We need to go for the best player available in the draft and then go after Will Grier. There is just so much going on with the Skins, That its hard to tell if it's actually the coach. I dont know where to begin... |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
Sucks , Philly drafts Wentz and wins a SB with Foles..
Dallas drafts Jaylon Smith and LVE and they become a dynamic LB duo. Giants draft Saquon and he's a superstar already.. Meanwhile we can't even find a QB that wont get injured |

Per Keim...
at this point I would put TW in at guard, let him lock the line on that side with Nskhe. My play would be pulling the right guard behind them and let AP find the best hole. Every down, and if they crowd it, throw it to Reed in the middle right of the field. That's the whole playbook, right there :joecool: |

Yup, he's basically proving why the team didn't want to bet the farm for him by performing basically the same on a loaded team. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
If by some ungodly chance Gruden does survive to see another year. You HAVE to take away his play calling and force him to turn that over to an OC.

Like Jim Zorn 2.0? Forcing a situation like that is less realistic than keeping him. If that's how the F.O. feels about it, they'll just fire him. |

No way, i don't agree. He is performing basically the same way because just like here, he has a defense that doesn't show up from week to week. We have yet to see Cousins play on a team that has a truly good defense week to week. Minnesota won't even make the playoffs, and i think that has more to do with the defense than Cousins' play. |

Kirk is still inconsistent but he's still better than 20 or so QB's in the NFL.

Kyle Smith is the personnel equivalent of McVay as a coach, why would they risk losing him? Then again, they are the dysfunctional Redskins and anything stupid can happen. I would promote Smith to GM. |

Well, Schaffer could still serve as some sort of assistant with player personnel. I'd promote Kyle Smith to GM for sure. I mean, even Bobby Beathard had Charlie Casserly servering under him at a certain point, so it's not like you have to have only the GM and nobody else assisting with player personnel. In fact, it might would make Smith's job easier. Of course, as you say, this is the dysfunctional Redskins, so they tend to not think in terms of what makes sense to us fans. |

Funny thing is how all the talk last year was how he was going to a perfect place for him.
I don't think it's all on Cousins but he was supposed to take them to the promised land and instead you hear their fans sounding like this board the last 2 seasons. Some people defending KC and some ripping him for his untimely errors. KC is who he was here. He will set records, put up stats and still manage to make terrible plays at terrible moments which keep a team from winning key games. |
Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
So our new back up QB is a no name who was out of the league and playing for the AAF, because... Jay and his staff know him from Jay's time in Tampa...
How many times have we heard that argument? I won't search but it feels like for some coaches or players we've read "whom Jay worked with when he was in Tampa" a solid number of times... I mean this is the NFL not your uncle's local restaurant ! Find the best players and coaches, not the ones you feel safe with because you know them already... |

I've been a Jay defender for a long time, but a lot of things point toward his inability to game plan and get the guys ready and fired up for big games. IMO, this is one of these little things showing Jay is not a good leader, he plays scared and average even when signing a back up QB. |

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.
When it's after the trading deadline, and you are picking up your 2nd backup QB, the guy sucks. That's just a fact. It's as certain as death and taxes. The first qb after the trading deadline is a guy with a few issues, maybe he can maybe he can't hopefully he won't play.
The 2nd guy after the trading deadline is either a diamond ring buried in a mountain of manure, or just the mountain of manure. Either way you are screwed for having a pile of manure on your team. |

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not gonna argue for hours over this, it's a small thing. Just adds to the feeling that Jay is not a great leader. I mean what edge does it give Josh to have been a back up on a team with Jay as an offensive assistant for one season that justifies signing him over guys that have been deemed good enough to at least stay in the NFL ? And again I know it's not a big thing and there was no great back up QB available. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |
