My theory is he rushes for 1200+ this year. We got Juice and a future starting LT for the price of getting Juice. If we have average health, we're scoring a lot of points. Doctson will be a pro bowl caliber WR. Book it.
I guess that new dispensary in PB has some good shit. :joecool: |

PB had some good shit long before the dispensary. Too bad I lost my old phone book. [emoji23] I agree about Guice running for 1200. 9 td’s too. Doctson a pro bowler?? Not so much. I just hope he is solid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

The more I read about Guice, the more excited I get about him.. I know this is just off season hype and we football fans, especially us Redskins fans, tend to be let down when season comes.. I really hope Guice will work out perfectly with us. |

With DG here now, I wonder if Jay will use more of the RPO offense for Alex. |
Re: Guice Theory
I won't be surprised by that, it fits Smith well and it will help us. It is hard to run RPO with Kirk, and yet Gruden did not shy away from it. Granted we didn't use it often due to Kirk's physical limitation. But with Smith, I can see Gruden wanting to use it often now.

Guice is going to tear it up can’t wait

Re: Guice Theory
Really cool hearing Doug Williams and Guice are from the same general area and seem to have a connection.
Side note, Doug really seems to have a bridging effect with the players and the FO where Bruce has seemed to struggle with that.....More Doug/less Bruce imo. |

Re: Guice Theory
We got Guice and a future starting left tackle that everything I've read is nothing but promise that just needs some full time pro coaching and a pro weight training program for 1 pick (for all intensive purposes).
I would have been cool with Guice in the 1st round. If everyone plays to their talent level and Apke becomes a special teams ace, this draft was aces. (Obviously this is assuming relative health across the board) Can't wait to see Guice go bonkers. Whatever fake news (over exaggerated) got created, I cheers to it. Can't wait for 2018 (or every season). And our 2019 draft should be amazballs. I tip my cap to Bruce, Doug, and Scott for nailing the long game on the compensatory picks. |
Re: Guice Theory
Trent is one of my top 5 favorite Skins of all times. A dream scenario for me would be for him to be LT Silverback for next 2-3 years, then have Christian become our starting LT and have him bump inside to LG for his twilight years.
Note, we've been spoiled at LT. Chris Samuels is also one of my favorite Skins of all times. Based on our history, Christian should join that list in about 15 years. |

Re: Guice Theory
Chris Thompson averaged 12 yards per target last yr, that is a big time number. He was 1st in the league doing so. Guice should see high productivity catching the ball as well. I think this offense has potential to be a top 10 O.

Kinda strange that video games are looked down on, or at least used as an excuse to label a guy "immature". Players have been playing games like Madden, Halo, and Call of Duty for years. |

It will definitely be a top 10 offense. I have no doubt about that. My questions are on the defensive side. I'm optimistic they'll perform adequately, though will reserve judgment until I start seeing some live snaps. But top 10 offense plus an adequate defense adds up to an exciting picture. I think we'll be competitive - the question is can we beat the quality competition in the NFC - the Eagles, Packers, Vikings, Rams, Falcons, Saints, etc etc. It's a tough road in the NFC these days. But I think we're good enough to make games against those types of teams close enough to come down to a play here or a play there. Should be a fun season! |

The added aspect of Guice is scary with Alex back there. Can't wait for it to really start |

I'm a typical working parent, full time job and two kids (11 and 9) who are into several sports so if I'm not at their games / swim meets, I'm at their practices or volunteering as the treasurer of their softball league. Not much time in the day left for video games, but that's why I like Fortnite. Easy to pick up, difficult to master, and games resolve themselves within ~10 minutes. So just play a couple quick games when you have half an hour before bed, or stay up late playing game after game after game when you feel the urge. I like games that are easy to learn. If there's a steep learning curve I won't stick with it - not enough time in the day. Give Fortnite a run - you'll remember why you liked video games in the first place and it won't monopolize your day. |

Prediction, he could be the next RGIII as far as hype and taking over the town if he plays well
I think at this point, as long as Guice isn't a total bust, he's gonna get some serious looks from the skins marketing department. He only needs 8-900 yards with 8-9 TD's and he'll be plastered on every lunch pail/coffee mug you see. I say "only" as if that's not a lot, which it is. However I could see him being treated like Zeke is in Dallas even if he doesn't hit those great numbers. |

Re: Guice Theory
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Derrius Guice has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL.
RapSheet reports Guice will have an MRI to confirm the diagnosis. On one hand it's good news that it's nothing serious, but MCL sprains are typically multi-week injuries. We may not see Guice the rest of training camp and preseason, but he should be okay by the time Week 1 rolls around. It can't be good news for his early workload, but Guice could quickly re-lap his competition. Damn...well I think this should end his preseason games...I really hope he can continue to light practice to prepare for the start of the season. |
Re: Guice Theory
We'll see what the MRI shows of course but I'm not even worried. Shut him down until week 1.

Fully agree. We all know what we have with him, so do the coaches: a stud. Shut him down 'til week 1, and keep Thompson on ice too. I'd rather let Kelley, Perine, Marshall and Bibbs get all the run from here on out so we can get a really, really good look to decide who makes it as the 3rd and possibly 4th. Let them be the ones to take the injuries - it's not like there's a huge difference between them all - style aside. Keep whichever ones come out of the preseason healthy and say bye to the rest. |
