Re: Sua Cravens
Two weeks looking at his bank acct probably motivated this latest revelation.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
Hopefully he's getting some help and support.

We'll probably never know 10% of what went inside his head. Hopefully he settled what he had to settled and will be back 100%... and his teammates aren't holding any grudge over this. The more I read about it, the more I think there may very well has been a legit personal issue that the whole team completely understands he had to deal with before getting back. |

If he doesn't, a lot of teammates will resent him for it. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Well the eagles D playing well against KC bodes well for the Skins.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
Idk what's bothering him, but I hope he resolves it, and if his teammates support him and will welcome him back so will I.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
This is good news. It feels awkward though.
I thought perhaps the Skins were going to add vaccarro from the Saints for some future 5th round pick. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Cravens or Doctson ..who is biggest disappointment so far..hopefully they can make a difference.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
I just want us to sneak one from either the Raiders of Chiefs. Chiefs at home might be brutal though. Raiders looking pretty good too, not dominant, but pretty good.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
I just heard Cooley say on his show that Cravens will be at Redskins park tomorrow, but he doesnt know why he is coming. Cooley thinks it has to do with what he has to payback to the Redskins.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
Basically Cooley said that Cravens could possibly be coming in to work out a football related injury settlement that prevents him from owing the team the full million+.
Don't think we should count on him coming back. |

Re: Sua Cravens
I'm sorry. I'm jaded. eff Cravens. Our defense can live without him. And eff Doctson while we're at it. (Boy, I feel better now!)

And F McC who brought them here. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Sua Cravens was placed on the reserve left squad list, ending his 2017 season.
I don't care. After seeing Nicholson in action I now think he's got a brighter future than Cravens at SS anyway. |
Re: Sua Cravens
And F McC who brought them here.
Yes, and f McC whose scouting firm the Redskins still use as a piece of the draft puzzle. Keep burning that cross mredskins. If this team goes anywhere he will be partially responsible for its' success. And if it doesn't, he will be partially responsible for its' failure. But blaming 1 man for an organizational failure is weak AF. Hope Cravens figures out his life, but that was a wasted pick. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Now that he's done, I find myself annoyed that Cravens ever wore Sean Taylor's rookie number. Swearinger is much more worthy to do so.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
The Redskins announcement didn't exactly make it sound like Cravens would continue his career in Washington. It referred to him continuing his career in the National Football League.
This is such an odd situation. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Fuck Cravens
|
Re: Sua Cravens
Look on the bright side, if this is a thing where he hates us and doesn't want to play for us, we still own his rights for 3 more years. So at least we'll get some sort of compensation for him if this a personal issue with us.
|
Re: Sua Cravens
O well, not like he did much anyway

He's on my no fly list. That dude is like asking for Rachel Maddows opinion about Trump. You already know the answer. |

Seconded. I refuse to give that idiot clicks. |

If feel like if there was something legit the team would've add something in the tone of "we wish him well", wouldn't they have ? So could this actually simply be about not wanting to play football anymore?... |

He didn't provide a source so not saying its for sure true, but I'll be interested to see more details. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Watching the 30 for 30 on the Redskins scab players. Just started, this should be awesome.

Why would he say that? If Cravens wanted to come back and Gruden was cool with it, that would be good enough for me. Is this Allen having another "I'm in charge" moment? Why would it be different now than 2 weeks ago? This is so messed up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Sua Cravens
If it is, between that and the idiotic press release after the Cousins negotiations tanked, all doubt is removed that he's a complete idiot. He'd be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle.

I mean he did it in college, he went AWOL last year, and then this year he just abandons the team when they aren't in position to replace him? Besides to the big, "fuck you," that he gave to the team, you can't afford to waste those reps on a liability. What's to stop him from doing it again later this year, and then you don't have anyone who has practiced this defense. I would have made the same decision, and said you have a spot here, but you have earn it back. In life you are completely in your right to make these kind of decisions to drop obligations if you need to, but these decisions have consequences regardless of intention. Tough lesson to learn, but well worth learning. |
Re: Sua Cravens
Mason Foster went out and made a game winning play after a serious injury. That is the motivation it takes to play football. As was said earlier, if Cravens came back and tried to "just make it through", he could risk serious injury to himself or another teammate. I don't know what the designation does cap wise, but he just needs to get himself right with his personal life and then make the decision on whether to come back or not.

Re: Sua Cravens
Glad they shut him down. Let his ass sit for a year and hopefully they can get something for him. His days here are probably over. Probably wants to play for the Rams or Chargers.

my hunch was 110% correct if this is true. what a cunt |
Re: Sua Cravens
I think his issues go well beyond simply wanting to play for another team.

Re: Sua Cravens
Chris Thompson said it was something "way bigger than football". That could mean a thousand things, but given the enigmatic behavior pattern, Matty I think you were possibly onto something when you mentioned the possibility of some kind of behavioral health problem.
Can't even begin to guess what it might be. But if he's hearing voices, or experiencing bi-polar symptoms, you could understand why Thompson would say it's something way bigger than football. No point in speculating, all the Redskins can do is move on with 53 guys who are committed to winning. They need to set a culture of accountability and putting the team above all else, and that includes shelving until next year someone who can't share that mindset. |
