Yeah this is the nfl, give any qb those and they win. If he is hurt then sit, don't give me a bullshit excuse. This is the nfl, either u ball or u don't. U need to look at his stats, throwing interceptions is not out of the norm.

I can't believe folks want to give him a pass. It will be interesting to see how he leads this team. He has the potential, but he isn't certainly not an elite qb, actually far from it.

These catch/fumble rules are just fucking stupid. Panthers got robbed of that INT call. Dude caught the ball and then was down by contact when the guy stripped the ball. They really need to fix this shit.

It seems to me Greg hardy might have some anger issues...check out the embedded Twitter video of hardy fighting coaches and players on the field during what looks to be a tv timeout after the Giants went ahead for good. Wtf

Watching this dysfunction in Dallas with Greg hardy is a great. Jerry and Garrett defending a convicted woman beater and overall terrible person is kinda sickening though. If I'm a Dallas fan I'm not happy with the blind love tossed at hardy.

Re: Around the NFL- Week 7

This offseason, there was a lot of talk about Cam Newton's and Russell Wilson's new deal, and the impending new deal for Andrew Luck. Back in the offseason, if you had asked me how each QBs team would fare during the regular season, I would have said that the Seahawks and Colts would have a winning record and be playoff bound; while the Panthers would be headed to a losing season (especially after losing Kelvin Benjamin).

Aside from the horrible game last night, Cam Newton has been a solid QB, and at one point the sole playmaker in that offense. The Panthers are undefeated and I think Cam is living up to his contract.

Meanwhile, Wilson has been pretty meh, considering the deal he was given. I really was expecting Wilson to pick things up and become more of an offensive force in the passing game. Yet still the Seahawks depend a lot on their elite defense (since the return of Chancellor) and now their running game. They are lucky to be 3-4 and should really be at least 2-4.

Finally, Luck has been a mess the whole season. His team did some terrible moves in the offseason and he no longer seems to be the QB that carried his team into the playoffs last year. I'll be curious to know what happens with talks between him and Indy about his new deal. Will Indy overpay him, despite the terrible season he's having? Or will they let him walk?

Speaking of quarterbacks playing mediocre after signing huge deals, how about Kaep? Man that team was ravaged in the offseason. Idk how much is his fault but this should have been a step up year for him and instead he's regressed.

The problem with with Indy isn't Luck...that team is just crap around him. Who has any confidence that after they sink a bunch of money into Luck that Grigson will have any idea how to build a team around him? He's botched it now when he isn't paying Luck 15 mil a year. It's only going to get worse. I'd seriously consider bolting if I were Luck. Huge gamble but Indy looks like a sinking ship right now.

Eagles and Boys ... not winning on or off the field this season.

Cred - i also found it odd that Kelly would let Duce Staley decide who takes what snaps. kelly is running out of excuses. i wonder whether he has the fortitude to sail this ship through rough waters or whether he will blame others and bail.

arent there specific packages for each? when has a running backs coach got to decide who plays and who sits?

True, but when fans go after her on Twitter that is just classless. So Beasley muffs a punt, and your first instinct is to get on social media and attack his wife? Cowboys fans at their best.

Re: Around the NFL- Week 7

When it comes to Luck, I simply have not followed him all that much. When I have seen him play, my general impression has been "What's all the hub bub, bub?" From what I have seen, he has been a solid QB. I have not seen the "Wow" plays from him with the consistency that I have seen them from the elite QB's. Also, while he is constantly extolled for his ability to lead his team to wins in the 4th Q, I rarely see him excoriated for putting his team in that position in the first place through the various untimely INT's I have seen him toss.

For me, the bottom line is that he is decent QB and solid starter, but not in the same league as the Rodgers, Brady conversation or ever the Brees, Manning of yesteryear conversation. Just not sure I have seen much growth from year one to now. I'd take him over most QB's but certainly not Rodgers or Brady.

Apparently, he is slumping hard this season. Is it a sign of things to come or just a slump? Check back in five years. If he does, he won't be the first QB to flame out and he won't be the last.

If the Colts offered us Luck for next year's first rounder tomorrow, how many (besides SFR) would bite on that trade? Me - probably, but not sure.

I didn't hear about that part, I just thought it was another example of taking personal business public. To be fair, I think those fans exist for every team. It's the unfortunate side of the business.

I don't see Caldwell being retained come the end of the year either. I never liked him as a head coach in Indy either. He was pretty much carried by Peyton and got out-coached in the Super Bowl.

I guess Kooter likes pooter and has shady past:

Lions elevate Cooter despite off-field history
Posted by Mike Florio on October 26, 2015, 6:52 PM EDT
452950338.0.0 Getty Images

The Lions once employed a defensive line coach who was arrested for driving while not sober and separately for driving while not, well, clothed. Nine years after Joe Cullen showed the folks at the Wendy’s drive-through a different kind of Quarter Pounder, the Lions have promoted to offensive coordinator a coach with a history of off-field problems.

Jim Bob Cooter, the team’s new offensive coordinator, was arrested for DUI in 2006, the same year during which Cullen’s arrests occurred. In 2009, Cooter was arrested for aggravated burglary after climbing through the window of a woman’s apartment, stripping to his underwear, and climbing into bed with her.

Obviously, folks deserve second chances in life. But in an industry where the supply of competent coaches far outweighs the demand and in light of the league’s post-Ray Rice sensitivities, the decision to move Cooter into such a prominent position seems a bit odd.

The timing seems even more odd. The Lions are six days away from playing the Chiefs in London. How much better will the offense become with only a few days to adjust? It would have made more sense to change coordinators after the London game, during the bye.

From a glass-half-full perspective, Caldwell surely hopes that making the change immediately after the Lions picked up a sixth loss will propel the Lions back to relevance and, possibly, to contention. Three years ago, the Ravens fired offensive coordinator Cam Cameron and elevated Caldwell into the position, en route to winning a Super Bowl.

For Caldwell, the more immediate objective is to win a second game. Plus, dumping Joe Lombardi now could help Caldwell avoid getting dumped during the bye.

Either way, the decision to give the job to Cooter will leave plenty scratching their heads.

Was rooting for the cowboys so we would be tied for first, and was so pissed when he muffed the punt. Bottom line is Cassell was not taking them down the field in a minute anyway. With no timeouts.
