5 straight years with a team from Alabama in the National Championship. FSU has been crazy dominant but I don't know how any team can stop that running attack from Auburn. This looks like it will be a more even match up than last years blowout.
Oh hell yeah. Even though i have thought at times this year that fsu is more dominant than alot of recent champs including bama. As of late it dawns on me that fsu hasnt played anybody. But they beat everyone they played and beat em bad. I guess if i had to wager my money would be on the noles. You are rite wont be anything like last year. Notre dame was way out of their league. Ohio state should have been playin bama anyway if they werent punished. |
Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Kinda wish the playoffs started this year because Michigan St belongs in some sort of discussion for national championship. outstanding play against OSU.
If we had a playoff, obviously FSU and Auburn but for the next 2 I would pick Michigan State and Stanford. Baylor would be left out. Alabama and Oklahoma state wouldnt even be in the discussion. |

Plus they lost to USC but that lost is understandable. It should come down to Baylor and Alabama. |

Interesting that a freshman is about to win the Heisman for the second straight year. If Winston actually doesn't win it, Andre Williams should be the recipient. That guy is amazing.

[YT]Ujt1S9P2XHE[/YT]
Whenever freshmen or sophomores win it for the first time, it seems to always be in pairs now. Yea Williams is a beast. FSU couldn't even stop him. |

Amazing run by Michigan state. Impressed by the Osu win but this game was masterful against Stanford

Great Defense and coaching . Great win for MSU and the Big Ten ! |

This can't be good for UNC athletics and administrators.

OK 7 Bama 7 ..... so far the Sugar Bowl is Sweet !

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Ohio St is a different football team when they actually play a real program. Predictably shut down by MSU first and Clemson second.

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
C'mon, Florida State. It's time to end the SEC's streak of national championships. Jameis Winston: 28-35, 319 yards, 3 TDs. Tre Mason: 24-126 yards, 2 TDs. Florida State wins: 27-23.

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Should be a great game. Auburn looking very strong right now 14 - 3 .

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Auburn is just so well coached. Woulda loved to see how Michigan St woulda held up against them

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Hell of a game. Caught the last 5 mins and that was all that was needed. Incredible finish.
Also feel for this guy. To lose 50k with 1:17 seconds had to suck. Auburn Tigers fan made $100 bet to win national title at 500-to-1 odds - ESPN |
Great game

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Jameis Winston is truly a great QB. Minnesota, Cleveland, Oakland, and other NFL teams that need a QB should pass on QBs this year, unless Bridgewater or Manziel are stil available, and wait until Winston declares. He's going to be a heck of an NFL QB if that's what he wants to do. The only QBs in this year's draft that I think will be equally good pros are Bridgewater and Manziel. Going 6-7 for 77 yards with the national championship on the line is outstanding.

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Also, Rashad Greene from FSU is a great wide receiver.

How in the fuck does Louisville hire Petrino again?

This would be like us rehiring Vinny Cerrato again. What in the hell is wrong with that AD? This is probably one of the worst moves I have ever witnessed from a program. |
Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Um...he wins football games. Granted, he is an ass bag but he CAN coach. 41-9 during his first go around is impressive for that program. I think somehow Texas stole Louisville's coach and louisville ended up in better shape. Weird.

There is more than just "winning", and he's already screwed over the university one time. It's like a battered wife taking back the abusive husband. |
Re: College Football 2013 Thread
There SHOULD be more to it than winning but most of the time there isn't. I doubt they're too worried. Louisville is probably the best job he'll be able to get any time soon. ANd he can only get it because of his history of winning there.

Re: College Football 2013 Thread
Petrino wasn't a bad coach, just a bad human being.
Sometimes college athletic programs care more about winning than peoples' lives...I'm in Penn State territory, I know this. ADs and boosters will look the other way for the wins and cash that comes with it. |

Who also happens to be a four time national champion. Belichick and Saban might be whiny little bitches, but I would give almost anything to be in a situation where just being in contention for a championship is the norm and not winning it, is actually disappointing. |
