How is it that a small school like ECU doesn't have the type of financial issues that Maryland has? Like my father always said, if you can't afford it, don't spend it.

Debbie Yow and a lot of people at Maryland got too greedy and tried to cash in on the limited success of the football team (and up to a certain point basketball).

Tulane to the Big East!!! That's the story we should be talking about! Oh yeah, my would-be alma matter (technically Maryland falls into that category too) is moving on from Conference USA; and not a moment too soon, they're going to...still suck at athletics(?) in the Big East

I'd say that the ACC actually upgraded by losing Maryland and gaining Louisville. Huge upgrade actually.[/quote]Why is ECU only in the Big East as football only?
