Good read, my only question is who was that team that had a 5th round grade on him, because they clearly didn't take him there..

Id imagine there was someone else they had a fifth round grade on that they liked better is all.

"He has quick feet and vision". Certainly what you'd want in a one cut and go guy. It doesn't hurt that he's tough and plays determined either. He doesn't go down easy.

The crazy ending of that Giants game made me forget abiut some of those monster runs he made with what seemed like 11 Giants hanging on his back. He just would not go down. Its at the point now that I am looking forward to watching The Butler as much as RG-3. God its nice to watch an offense that works.

Alfred Morris: Rookie of the Week...our offense is only good when Kyle puts the ball in Griffin or Morris' hands.

OK, so only if our qb or rb has the ball in their hands is our O any good. By gosh get on the horn and tell Kory he better start practicing catching!!!

I appreciate Morris more and more every week. We really struck gold with him and RG3. The dude is outstanding!

Re: Kudos to Alfred Morris

I felt bad for him. He made a great run to end the game, the crowd chanted RG3. RG3 is amazing in his own right, but Morris' effort really ended that game.

I love RG3 as much as the next diehard skin fan, and i havent been this excited to watch football in a long time... but Alfred Morris might be my favorite skin. Since pre season i said this boy is going to be special, week in and week out he runs with nothing but heart and determination. I love that kid.

Amen! Without Alfred Morris, the offense just doesn't have as much effect.

he's a straight up savage, so easy to root for because he's not blessed w the best physical tools or the most talent. he just wants it more, and he goes and gets it.

he is a true redskin, hail to morris!

I'm really hoping we don't end up trading him away.

All I can remember is someone on this board (I forget who) saying Morris would have great trade value.

I died a little that day.

I don't disagree, but AM1 isn't about that and probably didn't care. He just wants to come to work and do his thing. I am sure he thinks appreciation is fine, but the guy loves to play and would run like he does if no one was watching.

So refreshing to have a player like him on the team -- it's been a while since we've had players whose love of the game was apparent on every down. The great Redskins teams had them -- Darrell Green, Dave Butz, Neil Olkewicz, Monte Coleman (London Fletcher reminds me of him a great deal), Don Warren, all of the Hogs, Art Monk, Riggo, Jim Lachey, -- those guys would have played for the love of the game and affection for each other. Our current team is starting to shape up like that too, and good things flow from it.

I don't know how much Morris is making as a 6th rounder. But whatever it is, Snyder needs to tear up his rookie deal and give him a long term deal. What's not to like about Morris? Hard working, humble, lunch pale type of guy.So glad he's a Skin.

So much leg power from such a small person.... That dude is an animal on the field. If I ever needed my car towed and had no way to do it I'd hook up to Al-Mo and watch him dig in a drag the car like a toy train.

He was officially signed by the Redskins to a four-year, $2.22 million contract with a $154,000 signing bonus.
When his number was called again and again — when Griffin looked at him in the huddle during the final, clock-killing drive and said, “Go take us home,” when he ran the ball down the Giants’ gullet three straight times to end it — Morris wasn’t pumping his chest out to show the world he had done it. No, he was quietly saying thanks to the people who decided he was still the best person on the team to carry the football.
1. Morris is a straight up beast with a terrific attitude. When it was money time, he put this game on his back and won it.

2. Griffin's comment just shows his leadership - It's the big time, in the big game and the superstar is looking at you AlMo and putting his statement game in your hands. I bet Morris would have run through a row of brick walls in the middle of a burning building after that.

3. Way to take it home Morris. You deserve every bit of praise you get.

Great player, workhorse, humble, fights his guts out. All those things, but not (lunch) pale... :)

"He has saved us! Commander Taggart has saved us!" lol

I felt the same thing. However, I have a feeling that once the Morris jerseys start showing up all over FedEx stadium that he will start (quietly) feeling just fine!

RG3 is just easier to chant.

Anyone who has a clue knows that AM is kicking some butt.

I say we start calling him alfRED. RED is much easier to chant and will be another name that comes across as "Booooooooo"

JoeRedskin 12-04-2012 07:31 PM

Or we go with one of his college nicknames - "A-Train" and get a bunch of air horns going every time he touches the ball.

RedskinRat 12-04-2012 07:56 PM

A-Train and air horns sounds like a winner.

Air horns would be neat & old school if the NFL will allow them in stadiums. Big runs and TD's ='s the HORN!

It's too bad he doesn't drive an old VW versus the Nissan..... Could become the Bio Diesel, the second coming of the original Diesel. He reminds alot of Riggins. Just relentless power and never stops. Love his drive, his legs are always going.
