It's preseason. I remember 2 years back people thought that Torain wouldn't work out because of his lackluster performance in the preseason (28 carries 94 yards 3.4 avg). Later that same season he ended up dominating in a lot of the games where he was healthy.

I think that Running Backs that have a decent chance of making the team usually play at 50% during the preseason to keep themselves healthy for when the games actually count.

Because unlike the Royster the secondary's preseason performance will probably give us a good idea of whats to come during the regular season which honestly doesn't concern me as I'm more interested in our pass rush and I understand that this is a rebuilding year regardless of the fluff we'll end up hearing from the team during press conferences.
