I understand the tag I was just confused why we tagged him yesterday but from what I read the deadline was yesterday. I would have perfered us signing him to a contract that had some behavior clauses because I think his value will go up this year.

the hope is that his value will go up. looks at some of the largest te contracts. nothing too spooky

You need a tampering period between tagging and signing.
